During my 14 years as a military dependant, I nearly lost my dad while serving his country on several occassions that I know of.  I am so greatful that he was there for me his entire life.  I can "almost" imagine the suffering and loss of our men and women in unform, and the loss their families are enduring.

Almost....

My most genuine and endearing hope in this world is that all this sacrifice makes things better for everyone on earth, eventually.  I hope it does.
