Post by: Yeager on December 16, 2000, 11:53:00 PM
Was invited to play in the pac terrain H2H with nuTTz!

I have to tell everyone who gets the chance to see this terrain!

The colors are very natural and very vibrant...very tropical.  Delicious!

Very StuNNing!

Trust me, is the best looking terrain Ive seen in a flight sim yet!

KuDos nuTTz!

FFA games are my favourite way of trying to improve gunnery. The H2H (more like H^7  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) ) feature in AH is more fun than that of most boxed sims. And the differing terrains are a great bonus too  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Zig...

I don't know the reason why you don't play online any longer, but this incesant lobbying you do for HTH is is humorous at best.

HTH has it's place, and can be fun as well, but in no way does it compare with the dynamics in play amoungst 100+ players in any terrain.

There is an old saying which goes: Misery loves company...I believe you are just lonely (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

EZ ICE I feel for the Zigster, now Ziggy go put on a belaclava and make a friendly withdrawl from your local Seven-Eleven and comeback to the MA.

Duma is right about the numbers. IMHO the greatist drawback of any sim, is gang banging. To a large degree H2H has lessened this problem.

H2H players have a much larger selection of terraines to play in. Some, like nuttz, are outstanding.

And the action is much faster.

My concern is that it may be getting a little to good. It is not just a taste of the "real" game. In some ways it is better. It might be time for HTC to consider a time limit on the H2H arenas as well as the main. Im cutting my own throte here, but Im seeing more of the "im leaveing" posts. Then a decent stick shows up in the H2H arenas. This might be getting out of hand.

ice the density of cons per square mile is as high or higher than the MA

1) for those who want to furball, you can do it, same as in the MA

2) for those who want to play historical, host a game and set field parameters to force a historic planeset axis-v-allies

(1) you can do in the MA and the h2h equally well

(2) you can only do in h2h

i do miss the events, but there arent currently any events are there???

for me, i DO NOT like shooting down allies. It DOES NOT FEEL RIGHT shooting at a p51 in a f4u. It just doesnt.

thats why i like the h2h areas, i can set up my own host and force historical engagements.

btw i would be more than happy to pay to play once again if i could host bigger (more ppl) servers and host my own mini events (small scale, say 32 person host -- could have 12 bombers,12 escorts, 12 interceptors) more than enough for a fun mini event with minimal set up time or preparation
