Post by: Mister Fork on January 19, 2006, 06:22:31 PM

Why no Mossie in mid '43?

Good work, good setup, but….

Make the dar unporkable and work everywhere. Spending a lot of time flying around looking for a fight, historical but not fun

With dar on you can fly off alone and someone will come out after you resulting in a nice little private fight. (Fun)

Easier to harass milkers. (Much fun)

Dar good for fighters. (fun guys)

No dar good for pickers and porkers (lame guys)

Please set the Hardness and ack levels to normal. Maybe even fuel burn a notch higher to .7.
Also how about downtimes of around 20-30 min, no fun doing a bombing mission to watch stuff pop right back up.
Troops about 15 to 20+ to make it realistic.

:aok

are you still going to remove the 109F and not have the 109G2 in place leaving the axis with just the A5 for four days?

Personally I do think progression is a bit slow between day 7 and 13.... only one plane added per side in almost a week...

I don't think you have the "spirit" of the AvA in mind.  The war took time, they are simulating a theater of war over a few weeks that lasted years.  Some of the most important fighting took place during this "down time" between the start of the war and the flood of new planes as research and development hits its stride.

I do know that but still its a game and its an Arena that is rejuvenating....

What Im worried is that if its "the same" (plane set wise) over too long of a period that people might find it less attractive.

Id rather see the "casual" pilot like my self who gets a few days of flight time here and there miss one or two planes then having the more dedicated players get boored of the same setup being in there for too long.

The plane set still changes faster then if it were the usual one week CT setup. Four days without 109s  does seem  strange I admit.

It's a sub for the Spit LF. IX.  We could have used the XVI, but I think the full span VIII with the correct period armament is a better sub - performance should be almost identical except for the increased range.

Panzzer or Mr. Fork.

Is it possible to add an airfield to the rear field list ??

Shifty, our 78th FG CO has told me that A26 is where Duxford is located.  It would be great if we could up from our Historic Home Field, with Our P47's and P51's as they become available.

Thx in advance for any help you give us.:)

yup true, thanks for the clarification.  the extra range really doesn't matter in the AvA.

Next RPS, please don't forget to the "Bomber" Guys and Carrier Guys - they like to fly their plans as well.

Man cannot live by Spit and 109 alone.  :aok

Please put the damn fuel burn and flak back to where it belongs also. The "Furball" arena is nice but wears thin after awhile.

Fork, Kongkyuk and I were all logged on, I think.  At least during the 10-11 p.m. Eastern Time mission, Allies had slightly greater numbers.

You sure about that Fencer?

It seems by this map of East Anglia that Debden is further South and Duxford might be A5.

You know I was over there in 1999.  Went to Debden and to the base which is a UBX Royal Army base now.  The airfield is still there.  Got a great picture of me at the end of the runway.  Also went to Duxford but ya know that place just doesn't do it for me. :)

Thing I am kicking myself to this day is that I didn't goto the Rose and Crown in Saffon Waldon.

Went aboard the Cruiser HMS Belfast and the Ship of the Line HMS Victory. Also took a boat cruise around Portsmouth and got to see the carrier HMS Invincible and a bunch of the DDG's and FFG's while they were in port.

Stayed in South Chailey, East Sussex. Went to a crash site near there and brought home some engine parts from a crashed B-17. Was a cool trip - wish I could have stayed longer.

Yeah I did that too!  The Invincible was in drydock when I was there.  The Beldast was just too cool.

I also went to RAF Hendon.  Now that was a great Museum.  Saw a Typhoon and a Stuka and a Me110 for the first time.

February 14th: Operation Overlord. The Allies have started their invasion and now control fields 37, 44, 45, 46, 48 and 68 (aren't exactly historical, but chosen for gameplay purposes).

Field 37: SpitXVI (RAF)
Field 68: Typhoon, SpitIX, SpitVIII (RCAF & Canadian beachhead)
Fields 44-48: P-51B/D, P-47D-11/25, P-38J (USAAF).

Oh, and have a happy Valentine's Day!

Day 26:  August/September 1944

Allies now have the Tempest V at rear fields, and the P-38L is available at all fields except 37, and 68.

Axis:  The 190A5 has been removed from service (so long Butcher Bird ) and the ME163 has been added to field 78 for HQ defense.

the 163 might as well be left out unless the allieds are planning another raid it will never see use.  why not add it a sector back?
