I made a quaint little AH page and I need some thigns from you folks..
1. links to other AH sights and WW2 related data that may be pertanent.
2. Pictures for the user submissions area.
3. Ideas, to make it better, more useful or or whatever else.

repedatly attacking a persons persona over and over on a bb and forcing EVERYONE to read it is less cool, I decided I wont respond to him anymore on here so that yall wont have to read all that crap, so i will just vent on my web page.
Saint, did they look too big? maby its because the res i use on my monitor, ill cut it down a few points.

No Wob, I personaly am at 1600/1200 , so that's not a prob (am on DSL too, so no connix probs here.) I'm just giving you a "rule of thumb tip" (Always use a deault of 800/600 when you design pages and a slow connectio as well(56k/s)):
Set small images, see if you can get the colourcount down (IE: Gifs)
Set font Smaller (BIG fonts = well, we've all done it on our first sites (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) )
Use Tables or Layers to place your Images, etc...

I can't seem to find your 'vented' comments on your website. However, let me say that I was not attacking a persona, more drawing people's attention to a frankly disgusting comment which Wobble should be ashamed of.
Racism has always made me feel very uneasy.
And if you're wondering why I felt so angry about your post Wobble, then let me say that I have several Japanese friends who were on an exchange to my university. Perhaps if you actually met people from other countries and experienced the similarities, you'd wouldn't be so derisive or bigoted towards them.
Calling someone a 'gook' is as indefensible as calling someone a 'cupcake'.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels the same way, and I apologise to the 99% of people who post on this BB for seeing my vitriolic comments.
To you Wobble, I will not apologise.

I couldn't find that vent page either... too bad, it would have been amusing.
Wobble - ya might wana think about crediting the people who provided the screen shots, rather than just pulling them off the BBS and adding yer own out of context remarks over them.
Also - I'm a little bit troubled by how similar this page looks to the official HTC pages. I think it's ok to pull images off another site as long as you have permission and give credit... but NOT to use these in the exact same size and placement as on the original site.
Use your imagination - come up with your own website. This looks too much like a hasty knock-off.
Don't get me wrong - it's nice to see ya building a site around AH, but this, in a design sense, is unoriginal and almost a complete rip-off.

yeah if you are going to vent on people like dowding then why dont you add a "wobble's roadkill, lies and racist comments" page and you can tell the rest of the world some of the whoppers you tell here - then maybe they would understand why people dont like you -

Nash, I did all of the aircraft and vehicls shots myself, I took down the rant because I simmered down, i dont hold a grudge, I get pissed I react and the I back to "normal"
that page with "1mb" of images...thats just all the AC each pic is only about 45-60k, not that bad, I just forgot to make the default res 800x600 oh well.
I dont care about Dowding opinion or anyone elses for that matter unless its related to AH, I dont climb up anyones bellybutton and call them a racist bigot no matter what they say, I am only rude when people are rude or insulting to me, You get back what You give, that may be an odd concept but that how I operate.
And now my page has nothing on it that isnt AH related that I didnt make so that everyone will be happy, all the screenshots are mine. and it doesent look anything like the HTC's page (didnt before either)
I should have known that if i tried to make a page that it would get nitpicked to death, its nice to know that probably 90% of the 180 hits I have had the past 2 days were just people trying to find something to rub in my face or yell at me about, thanks folks.

Actually TheWobble, some people are indirectly trying to point a couple of things out to you.
Mainly, your web page doesn't really have anything to offer that can't be found on the HTC web site. The main point to a web site is offering something new and creative. The popular sim sites aren't simply re-hash, they are always serving a purpose. Newbie related stuff, advanced aircraft statistics, advanced scoring documentation and so forth.
There really isn't a need to sit here and trash your web site. You are working on something you like. Its just that you may want to try to find a niche and fit in there.
I like doing web pages too. It just never even remotely occured to me to do an AH site. There are so many people that know so more about so many more facets of the game, that any attempt by me would look amateur in comparison. I think yours may fall victim to this too.
Lance (Gordo) is representing his football team and his page actually serves a purpose. Its very nicely done too Lance (second one (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)). I came up with a web page on gaming under NT 4.0 one time. Nobody else had one and it actually became a refuge for hidden work gamers across the world. It got half a million hits and it looked like total crap. It was simply incredibly usefull... usefull enough to actually get me into PC Gamer magazine (LONG BEFORE YOU FISHU! MUAHAHAHA)
Think about what you want the page to do. If you can simply add a link to someone that's already done the same page, then do it. No need to be repetitive. Instead be creative.

yes good point, I have asked myself the same question, but I really dont know what to gear it twords.. I will probably make it geared to learinging the game, seeing the massive influx of newbies AH has been having, however I have been having to drive to Austin every day for meetings and havent had much of a chance to do much more work. plus people putting up messages just to say "it sucks" doesent really make me feel like messing with it either. I dont mind critisism as long as it is followed by a reason or an idea not just "it sucks" but then again.....football player.

Actually, you may want to stay away from the training aspect of the game. Stick to what you know.
I know that you play H2H so that you don't have to pay to play. As a result, you don't really have much time in the arena. It deters from any real credentials you could get as someone that would be qualified to train.
How about sticking to what you know.. hosting H2H games. Find out some specific information on what types of connections you need to host x amount of players and so forth. Maybe see if you can find out what computer settings are optimal for hosting and playing. That type of stuff. Stick to what you know.

deja, i did fly the MA for quite a while, and I would dare to say i am defenatly good enough to instruct newbies, id say skills are more important in this game than $30 a month. I am probably going to concentrate on divebombing, heavy bombers and E-fighting. Topics such as what alt to come in at with a given plane to get a good angle and speed for a dive bomb attack on a cv...etc, of course the basic dogfight manuevers and do's and dont's, I will of course cover H2H hosting and do's and donts there aswell (that is a good idea, thanks) the hard part im finding is getting good pictures of tactics, ya cant do them offline mode and when your fighting someone its hard to get a good screen, but im working on it. Been real buisy latley though so its on the back burner. Thanks for the help though.

Good start, wobble. I tend to agree with Deja (gasp!), though - find a niche that isn't served. You sound like you've got some good ideas with tactics.
On the pics pages, you might really want to consider making thumbnails of the pics available, that link to the full pic. That fighters page is just huge on images. I'm on cable, and hit Stop long before it was done downloading because of the time it was taking.
Also, and this is a personal note, I hate embedded music in web pages (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
