What gives? Why are there always so many teens in there? Wierd, I never see these guys in the MA, just the DA.
:huh
-
Faster way to find a fight and HO?
-
Ive seen more older guys HO then younger. We just lack the skills to do it right.

Home Schooling is a wonderful thing huh.
remember the days of GOING TO FRIGGIN SCHOOL? LIKE on a BUS? Walking? Riding your BIKE? You know...going from like 7:30 or so until like 3:300 or 4?
Oh it's so wonderful now to have your Mom as your teacher.
Mom "Jimmy...time to get up..it's almost 9:30"
Jimmy "Ok Mom...I'll be up in a few"
Mom "Ok...but hurry...I need to get Sally going as well"
Jimmy "How about you get her started and I'll play AH for a while then get started"
Mom "Ok..I'll run her over to teh Doctor and you play til I get back"
Jimmy "Ok..I'm up...Just get me when you get home Mom"
Mom "Ok"
2 Hours later when Mom get's home Jimmy get's his reading and homework for the day and plays 4 more hours. Does his hjomework in 30 minutes and logs back on until midnight. Then sleeps until 9:30 and the cycle starts again.
Home Schooling What a great life.
-
I remeber getting cold water thrown on me and told to get my lazy arse out of bed NOW :furious , and if I didn't catch the bus I had to walk the 3 miles, and she'd call to make sure I was there. Parents seem too soft nowadays. I'm glad I wasn't home schooled, I mean how do you get laid in high school if you go to school at home????????

Thats a damn lie! That is so insulting.
No sheep with any dignity would ever be caught dead with a Kentuckian. Thats why they have to make do with their sisters and cousins.

OMG they are freakin everywhere around here! I swear, kids don't even have to go to school anymore. I used to take late lunches on Fridays about 1 o'clock or so, and I'd have to run an errand to the mall. They were EVERYWHERE! I was like WTF?!?! Don't you people have school or HOMES to go to?
No surprise they are here. I'm with you on the home schooling thing too...they should all have to sit there like I had to. :aok

Highschool is a key part of life. What do these kids do when they get out in the public?

maybe some are, not mine. im 23 now, so not too old.
I used to get the cold water wake up call, if not that then Rule Britania played at full volume just outside my room.
If i missed the bus i walked 3 miles, alot of it up hill, if i skipped school i got beaten, if i skipped the beating i got locked out of the house.
i had to be dying to get a day off, had two broken arms and a broken knuckle and they made me go in 4 days after surgery.
i wouldnt change it for the world and respect them for what they forced me to do as a kid. but MAN, at 16 when i went to college, you better believe i skipped almost everyday and as soon as responsibilty became mine, i flaunted it at every oppertunity.
there has to be a happy medium between old fashioned parents from hell and new skool lame parents that let their kids do anything and still give them money each weekend.
disipline, but not quite to the extent some got, would have made me more likely to be responsible when i finally made it away from their vice like grip.
maybe im wrong, but i think somewhere between harsh and pathetic is the way to go if i ever have kids.
as for the DA......i only go there with someone to duel or pratice, no one makes me fly at bish field A30 with the kiddies and newbs.

Hmm.....pull their lil heads out of that anal orfice...look around...go:eek: and stick it back there...and continue on I suppose:lol

Have I ever told you guys how much I hate all the immature kids at my high school? With their pants around their knees, and their "bling". It's disgusting.
Oh and those kids were all at the mall because they were skipping class and NO ONE CARED. Few days suspension maybe, thgat's it. Their parents gave up trying to fight with them about school a long time ago, so they just don't care.
As for me, I have my own frickin job and I have to pay for my own gas (not insurance though, thank god) Those kids that are wearing $140 shoes to school and all their nice clothes complaining about how they are poor might be halfway retarded.
-
That and kids parents got a lot of money and they buy their spoiled brat a brand new car. Then if it isnt the car they want, they will purposely wreck it out in the country just so the insurance will call it a total loss and then maybe they can get the car THEY want, not what their parents want them to have.
My parents told me if I wanted a car then I have to get a job and get one myself, they wont pay for it. I got a job and then 6 months later I had enough for a down payment on a car. Back then I didnt like it, but now I am glad I did it like that. You sure the hell have more respect for things you buy from hard earned money

You guys are just upset because us 14 and 15 year olds beat you up. Stop whining and learn how to fly.

while I would love to really say what I thought when I first read this , I'll decline.
I have NEVER been beat up by a 14 or 15 year old. I have lost many virtual dogfights in a GAME to 14 and 15 year olds. But beat up?:rofl
I'll learn to fly when you can grow a full beard.

Well as a adult RedTop, I hoped you'de have enough sence to realize I mint that I could beat you guys up in the game. I would hope a adult could beat up a kidin real life, wow really tough.

:lol Regular.......... I'll just let ya find out when you get older. But let me give you a hint. Metamucil is common for older people. I'm not there yet , but I play golf with a few that are:lol

OK, RedTop, schools in.
There are homeschoolers whose main goal is to keep their kids away from the awful mean old world. There are also homeschoolers who are doing the education thing themselves because the regular schools are just so screwed up.
We've homeschooled our two kids (14 and 17) since kindergarten, and they've done well by any standard. Academically, they've outperformed their agemates considerably, scoring in the 90th to 99th percentile on national standardized tests every single year. My oldest skipped a grade, continued to top the 99th percentile, and started college at age SIXTEEN. (She's pulled straight A's her first term, and cant stand the dumbed down stuff they're teaching the college freshmen.) My younger kid has had the freedom to develop at his own pace, not getting lost in the crowd and not being swarmed for being different. They've both developed into strong people who know what they think but can still relate to those who differ.
They are better socialized than their peers. My daughter has volunteered over 400 hours, with elderly and with preschoolers. She had a delightful ongoing friendship with a 94 year old lady, and loved to spend time with her up to the lady's last days. My daughter also tutors kids in reading. She does this stuff because she likes helping people and being with them, and we've not pushed her into any of this. She's preparing for a career as a professor of medieval european history. She plays classical piano, electric rock guitar, and has a green belt in Shoto-kan Karate. She's been awarded a scholarship to the college of her choice, and she recieved a Congressional Silver Medal for her achievements.
My son volunteers too, and plans to start refereeing soccer. He also has a Karate green belt, and lifts weights with a past olympian in our area. He's academically strong, he's thinking about a career in medicine, and he gets along great with others. He doesnt let people bully the weak when he's around, and because he hasnt been shoved into the peer pressure wars he frankly doesnt care if the bully is the most popular kid around.
Oh, and his first month on AH he had a 12% hit rate and a KPD over 1. He also routinely landed multiple kills and even had a 14 kill sortie (no rearm!) in a mossy. I still havent forgiven him.
Obviously, I'm proud of both of them. Neither has their head emerging from their anal orifice.
So there.

They sound like great Kids. There are always going to be exceptions as well. I am happy for you. Sounds like the parents did a wonderful job. You should be commended. Well done.

yeah young kids are anoying, but man on this game if I make a mistake (not telling an enemy plane Im on his six) and shoot em down. Ive been called a "doo doo head", "big fat pile of stupid" etc more than once by supposibly mature 40 year old adults.
I usually dont see much a difference between the adult an younger players, aside from the higher pitched voice.
-
To play any video game, or sit around a tv or pc when you're still that young, is a crime, and a move they'll regret later on, when and if they actually discover life.
I'm proud to say I played my first home video game 5 years ago, Aces High.
(I didn't count Pong, cause that was just sad, lol , and kinda fun, hehe).
-
no way bumba, video games are way better than learning to rob people and taking drugs, trust me.
country life is different, but most the kids i know that dont do some form of contrctive and harmless hobby, do drugs and work on becoming mini-gangtas!
i see my little sister who is only 15 and thank the lord she is into ponys and watching TV. i see her school mates walking into school, pregnant, or drunk, or both.
there is alot to be said for the great outdoors and living in it, but when the great outdoors is infact the great cesspool or urban decay, i'd say mindless games and electronica are a good solution.
-
I was 14 playing AW, I was the little kid.
Now i'm the college kid playing "Plane" or "That Flying Game" or "Call of Duty in the Air".
I was mature by 12, I grew up slightly disadvantaged. My father had died when I was 2, my ma working multiple jobs just to have us live in a house and send me to school. Now I'm paying for college.
Even at 22, I still look at high school kids with contempt. Kids that got the flashy clothes, nice cars, BIG allowances, they are so full of watermelon and I just want to shove them into the real world. Its going to be these kids that will raise a misguided generation that will corrupt the country. They think everything should be handed to them, and that they don't have to work for it.
Although there are some great experiences with these "privileaged kids". Meeting them now while they are working to pay off their 2005 Mustang at the Turtle Wax or Hooters is rewarding to say that I pay for college and have not only one but two salary jobs lined up after college. These kids are just fighting to stay in their 1 room apartment and keep their flashy car or expensive clothes.
Those who have worked for their lives always, ALWAYS turn out as the best kind of people.
As for the kids that play AH2, I find them more mature than those who play FPS games hardcore. It takes a lot of patience to fly and manuever and shoot at moving targets at hundreds of miles per hour. So when you see young ones in AvA or the MA, respect them as a fellow pilot and give them guidance as well.
-
got my first job aged 12 in the butchers for £2.15 an hour :) slave labour. I dropped out of college at 16 to get a job to earn money. i still have to earn my living today, but i wouldnt say im gunna become the best type of person :p
and just to contradict what i know is a very vlaid and good natured post sigma, there are also some people who have worked their whole lives and become the very worst type of people.
maybe it depends on what type of work you do. for instance manaul labour is very character building, yet playing the stock market might make you a total bastige.
i knwo what you mean but its not 100% true.
-
I've had a "real" job for almost 3 months now, making about $400 a month part time, not much but it's nice when there are no bills except for gas. Started "work" this past summer at my step dad's auto shop, 10 hour days, some days just sit around, some days working as hard as you can and never have a free time.
Believe me when I say the kids that think they need all that flashy bull**** are dumb. The brand new car, the new cell phones every 2 monthes. They deserve a slap on the back of the head and a taste of the real life. Seniors, 18 years old, no jobs, living off their parents. It's disgusting.
Would I say i'm extremely mature? No, would I say i'm a bit more mature then 75% of my school, probably. They refuse to grow up, which can be a good thing, I have an immatyure childish side to me, but then they never have an idea what it is to work for what you want. My car was $5,000 used (POS shoulda been $2,000) and I will start paying back my parents for it by next year at the latest.

living off your rich fat parents is one thing, what makes me really sick is able bodies young people who claim benifit and welfares.
if ur sick, ok sure, if you just lazy, learn to live with nothing or get a job.
claiming money that hard working people like nirvana pay in tax is just sick and the epitome of shelfish.
i have gone for months without a job sometimes, im not exactly perfect health but im fine to work. and i am proud to say i have never once claimed anything from beifits and welfare. lived with nothing, but not take other money for nothing.
-
Hey the DA isnt so bad. The MA is the vox schoolyard for those who insist on informing us of everything in their life, what their plane is doing, yada yada. Between JohnnyRA and Dopy...heh...its tard-tastic.
-
Wtf, dopy rules. That kid is dynamite.
-
It's not kids flying thats so bad it's the REALLY REALLY HIGH SQUEEKY VOICES that make your ears bleed that is the worst.
And yes they should be in school or working. I couldn't get out of school unless I couldn't stand up. Now days I can't even send my kids to school with a cough without the school calling me wanting me to pick them up.
My parents made me get a job when I was 16 and I didn't have my own car to use till I replaced the engine in one of our old familly cars but that was a good learning experiance.
All in all I think Parents and the schools both are poor shadows of their former selvs.

yeah, one thing that really annoys me is immigrants and asylum seekers claiming billions of pounds in benefits, because they cant be arsed to work. just totally ridiculous

trouble is if your kid goers to school sick and make another kid sick you, or the school might get sued for millions....hahaha.....what a screwed up world we live in.
If one of us was sick, our parent would make SURE we went to school to bild up the other kids emune systems :p.
I remember my mum forced me to play with a kid i didnt even like to get me chicken pox over and done with. I wonder if i can sue her?

I just turned 33 nine days ago. We have three boys, ages 6, 4, and 1. In this house, the computer is strictly a priviledge. I was forced to quit my job as a tree trimmer for the local power company due to an inner-ear infection, which left us in a financial crunch. My wife took over the job front as I recuperated at home and looked after my boys.
From the beginning, my wife and I agreed that we would not run our kids off to day-care while we worked. We've always maintained that one of us would care for the kids. Only by the grace of God were we able to live on a 10 acre farm owned by my dad where half of the property tax ($150 per year) is our rent.
We try to live a very "paid-for" life-style. If we do not have the money for something we want, we don't buy it. The only exception to this is the house that we live in, and even then it's a fixer-upper $5K home on wheels. But, it keeps the rain off, we have running water, and it keeps us warm. It's a lot better than my great grandmothers house next door that has stood for 60+ years with no water or electric. (Yes, that is where we started.) Even the cars we drive ('81 Doge Ramcharger, '87 Dodge Dakota, and a '95 Buick) are paid for and run decent.
I'm hoping that we can instill in our kids the idea that you work for what you want in life. These kids that are in school with money handed to them, cars and phones handed to them, expensive clothes handed to them, and yet complain how thier life sucks, ought to come live out here in the middle of nowhere for a while. They wouldn't last a second.

Hmmm, this has turned to an "I hate everyone whose life is easyer than mine or has more money than I had when I was growning up" thread.
Don't be pissed at others because your parents or you could not make a little extra money. Instead, if you don't care about money, mind your own bussiness and stop whining about the new shose, cars, and cell phones the others have. You don't care remember? If you do care about money, then try to find a way to get there.
If your parents kicked you out at 18 and told you to get a job, dont be pissed at some 18 year old because his parents didn't. Be pissed at your parents.
Bottom line, stop crying about what you did not have and what these kids have and try to improve your situation (if you think you need to). Whaaaaa he has more than I had is not going to help you :lol

dedalos is a rich kid! dedalos is a rich kid! :p
if you could read and understand ded, its not the material things that gets peoples backs up, its the arrogance and general morals and value for life of spoilt brats that makes people a bit peeved.
if you can have a wealthy and material life and not become a arsey little poo face then fairplay to you. unfortunately alot of these rich kids dont have a clue about anything past their credit cards and hotel bills.
i dont think u adding anything important to this discussion. but ill give you the benifit of the doubt, ergo this reply.

Yep, but just because there a couple of kids acting that way, it does not mean that every single kid is that way. However, puting them down like that, does make you feel a little better about your self doesn't it? You guys took the 5 or 10 twelve year olds in the DA and assumed they represent the entire human race.

The moment you start to understand what I am saing is when I will seek medical attention. I think I added a lot more that Whaaaaaaa I am a loser.
As far as the rich kid goes, I was born in a small vilage in Greece (7.5K population). Dad was a taxi driver. I did not have a brand new mustang when I was 16 but you know what? When I see an 18 year old driving one I say "Nice ride". I am happy for him. Life is about having fun, especially when you are a kid. So, I'll make sure my kids have everything I did not and not cry to them about walkign to school 3 miles up hill both ways. :rofl WTF, is that some great acomplisment of yours? Go cry about your misery somewhere else.
PS. We have seen the results of growing up like you did. :O

Sounds like someone is angry at the world for it not being "Fair" to him. :)

One of the main problems is that schools get paid a set ammount of money for every student that is there on a given day, so the school wants every kid there they can get, in theory... But what the school doesn't tell you, I know this is the way it is in TX, they take roll for the day in 2nd period, usually around 9:30-10:00, so basically if the kid shows up for that one class then they are there for the day... I know this because thats what i used to do 7 yrs ago when i was in hi school, I bet I skipped every other day or so, I would come in late, skip 1st period, show up for 2nd because thats when roll was taken, then leave after that class around 11ish, then come back around 3:00 for football practice every single day... The thing about it was is I still graduated with an A average, I did absolutely no homework ever in any of my classes, I just basically showed up and took the tests which were a breaze, any person with half a brain and common sense can ace them. IMHO school is just too dang easy, theres no way I should have been able to do that, of course I was an all state tackle and defensive end, but still, you would think they might teach something new that I didn't learn in the 8th grade, but they don't, it's just the same BS over and over again. You can learn more from watching an hour of the history or science channel than you can in 3 years at hi school. And the main problem is the tests, what happens when 20-30 percent of the kids fail the tests, they say the tests are too hard, or culturaly biased so they make the tests easier so it won't hurt the kids self esteem, because instead of teaching little Bobby Sue to read her parents were buzy at the club getting jiggy to a .50 cent song or whatever... Some of you older people may remember when school was actually challenging and you might learn something, thats just simply not the case anymore which is why so many kids are being homeschooled and I really don't blame them. I understand the whole point of high school is to learn to get along with others, learn to be on time, learn to work efficiently, etc etc... But nowadays its basically just a waste of time. Its like Nirvana said all it is, is a fashion show for the rich kids to show off there brand new $200 shoes and $40,000 SUV that mom and dad bought em for there 16th birthday. These kids are not learning anything. I didn't go to school because I was lazy and didn't want to, I didn't go because it is pointless, they do not teach anything that you didn't already learn in junior high. I would rather go to work for a few hours and then come back for football practice :) I only came to schoole when we were having tests which were just about the dumbest things in the world because they require absolutely no studying for, I swear there are questions like What year did Columbus land in the New World and BS like that, that any person above the age of 10 should know. Sorry for the long rant I just can't stand the way our education system works. I went on and went to college at UT for 2 years playin ball until I blew my knee out, and to tell you the truth, I really didn't learn much there either, except how to tap a keg or undo a chicks bra with one hand lol Our education system used to be something that americans were proud of, and that was one of the reasons that set us apart from the rest of the world, but over the past 15-20 years, instead of flunking the stupid kids, we just make the tests easier so they won't feel bad when there called stupid for being the only 20 year old junior in school. Well guess what, if your 20 and still in high school then I believe we should be able to label you with the stupid stamp. And I think allot of it has to do with the parents and not the kids... Listen if you can't get a handle on your kids and make em go to school and behave maybe you don't need to be a parent anymore. I would be willing to bet that 50% of the parents with kids in school have no clue how there kid behaves or what grades they make, because they simply don't care. Its like the kids at Columbine that shot there classmates, there parents had no clue that these 2 kids were assemmbling a freaking arsonal, they had pipe bombs and all kinds of weapons and guns in there rooms. If your going to hold anyone responsible for that you gotta hold the parents. If the kid is 17 or younger and does something bad, then its on the parents. Oh 1 more thing I have to rant on, what is the deal with this whole goth/vampire thing that kids are doing, dressing in all black, with green hair lol, and there pale white skin that looks like makeup lol, what real parent would let there kid out the front door looking like that. When I was young it was made clear to me by my dads belt that I was representing him when in public and I had better behave, he knew I was ditching hi school towards the end but didn't care because I had good grades a job and I had a plan to pay for my own college. I just don't see how the people can let there kids act and dress like they do, I can't even imagine the beating I would have got. The worst I ever got was when I pierced my ear in the 8th grade lol big mistake lol... Basically I think its time to thin out the gene pool some... End of rant
Someone wrote this earlier and I thought I would answer it for ya
Highschool is a key part of life. What do these kids do when they get out in the public?
Steal / rob / sell drugs / be an otherwise crutch on society. especially if they can't rap or play a pro sport. basically people like you and me (people that have a job and pay taxes) will be footing the bill for there miserable lives
-
oh dear, the flame tards are trying again.
very sad.
i'm not mad at anyone, or anything, grow up.
and more importantly dedalos, if you re-read the thread i was not the one saying kids in the DA bother me, nor that rich kids with nice cars bother me. It was infact one of your squaddies that made the initial complaint.
now go play in the road, stand on your head, pee down ur leg, and play with the steam :aok.

Got it Iceman. All kids graduating withing the next 2 years will be wearing black clothes, have green hair, they will be stealing and killing unless ofcorse the kill them selfs in some kind of an attack to a school, and their parents dont care .:O
I think what you are really saing is: I dont understand how people dare to do and act different than the way I want them to. Different is not right. Must judge everyone that does not look, dress, act, speak, and belive the same as me.

no way bumba, video games are way better than learning to rob people and taking drugs, trust me.
country life is different, but most the kids i know that dont do some form of contrctive and harmless hobby, do drugs and work on becoming mini-gangtas!
i see my little sister who is only 15 and thank the lord she is into ponys and watching TV. i see her school mates walking into school, pregnant, or drunk, or both.
there is alot to be said for the great outdoors and living in it, but when the great outdoors is infact the great cesspool or urban decay, i'd say mindless games and electronica are a good solution.
Having grown up on the rusty side of the tracks, I know a tad about the street setup.
Firstly lemme say , congrats to your sister, I wish her, and her generation for that matter, all the best and good luck, they'll need it.
Secondly, sticking a teen in front of a tv or video game to somehow shield them from the outside world and it's possible temptations/ persuasions, well, is frankly just delaying the inevidable.
It's like a gal I once had who'd rent a rotgut slasher movie, and would then put a pillow over her face every time a scary part came up. She'd wait till the next scene, then pillow up again, eventualy she misstimed it and got an eyefull of gore, and would complain about getting bad dreams.
I guess the moral is , a pillow is for sleeping on and a video game is not a crutch and if ya don't like the movie, shut it off.
That's this installment from the Bumba's Smorgasbord of Wisdom.

good point bumba, but i wasnt suggesting using these media activities as a shield, more that if the child choses them of his/her own free will then thats not really a bad thing.
i certainly agree with your point about forcing a child to do something to 'protect them'

The scary thing would be to teach todays teens how to think well...or think at all.

lol, making people think is just nasty.
ignorance is bliss.

Does anyone know how many months its been since I threw my last AH tantrum?

Are the rest of the teens on AH really acting this bad to get this kind of response from u guys? I'm almost 15 and I know I can hold my own, I know I have NEVER talked trash on any channel, I just utter a swear in my room and when I lose control and swear on vox I always apologize later. I don't vulch, ho, or wire-wiggle - I just bnz and occasionally run, but thats cuz I fly a pony.
But I can agree with u guys on the drugs/guns thing. U may know I live in the Philippines and I consider myself fortunate to be living an average teen life; i.e. I enjoy listening to punk/metal/rap, practicing the guitar going to internet game cafe's with the guys, having romance problems, etc. I consider myself fortunate bcuz even tho I go to a private school, about 65 percent of the students I see around me are definitely on the street spank, which is mainly bcuz its a third world country so life standards is really low.
I know that I'm clean, despite having a turbulent childhood and being forced to live in this hellhole where I'm deprived of livng the good life in the states. This is bcuz I know that I'm gonna be a pilot someday and the white powder will never get me there. These other kids who take it have nothing to live for and look for something to dull the pain. I hope I don't learn one of my friends is a druggie bcuz I would have to spit at him; he is rich enuf to goto a private school and believes to be worse off than the thousands of shirtless kids who roam the streets begging for a peso here and there.
Same goes for the kids who live in the states and go all punk rebel believing that the man keeps them down and that everyone exept them and their group is looking to opress them or watever BS they come up with.
Now, on the topic of video games and stuff; ppl who are like Jack Thompson are more stereotypical and gullible than the kids they accuse of being influenced by games to the point that they start taking drugs and shooting ppl and stealing stuff. Video games are a relaxant to us, they're fun for us and they give most of us that one thing to hold on to when normal life gets us down kids who DONT have these games to vent their stress on are the kids who turn into the 'crutches on society' as one of u guys said in a previous post. Let me eleborate; if a kid cant vent his stress on a game, then he's gonna get sick of school, get sick of the work, sick of his parents and generally sick of the world and their own life. Consequently, this would lead them to not caring about ppl around them and not caring about their own well being. Soon they'll be toting guns to school or tossing a bat at the window of some store so as to get money to buy their own food, and, at the same time, leaving some store owner without money to pay for his family's food. Wanna talk about vices? Like I said, no games builds stress, and kids will look for ANYTHING to clear their head - it's normal in human growth for hormones to rage and thus mess up their insides and they look for some relief. Geez, I knew that just bcuz of my girl trouble, the moment I saw a beer I chugged. Amplify that reaction so instead of girl trouble, it's life trouble and u probably wont be suprised at what kids would chug.
Now games and hard music dont influence us to become gangsta like we see our beloved CJ from GTA or like we hear eminem, and the westside crew rappin about. Hell I'm listining to eminem right now, and I know I won't be toting a gun to school any time soon. I've played GTA, call of duty, warcraft, and I know I won't be going around the city throwing ppl out of cars, waving a thompson around looking for nazis to kill, or dressing up in a suit of armor and looking to save the tree of life against the undead scourge - same goes for my friends who enjoy the same games. Hell most of the ppl that are reading my post shud know about this little flight sim made by some company in Grapevine, Texas that involves flying WW2 aircraft and shooting down anything that's written in red. And I doubt that these ppl go around hoing traffic in their cars and calling padestrians 'spitdweebs or lgheys' on ch 200 (insert old role eyes)

I simply drive by and open the car door at the last second to hit them... I call it a rolling snapshot :)

Thats a HO. you are just using wing mounted guns :D
-
LOL... actually more like a 10 degree deflection, I approach from the HO position but at the last second I'll bank right and throw open the door
-
now if I could get my hands on a few 20mm cannons I could mount them on my truck and set my convergance to about D200, I think that would be just about right for driving through Dallas/Fort Worth traffic in the mornings :) , would definately make it more interesting :) , maybe even put a single 20mm stinger in the back as well for the tailgaters lol

I see alot of this: "I am older than you, therefore I am holier than thou...."
Gimme a break...just b/c the majority of the community is probably over 30 doesnt mean ppl should be acting this way. Yes, alot of the younger players are annoying or have voices that annoy many of us, but what were you like when you were their age?
And me...I'm a fresh 24 year old. So make whatever judgement you wish.

What's with all the ragging on privileged kids? Growing up, I always had the nice clothes, expensive shoes, big allowance (always spent on food... Golly-geeN was I ever hungry by lunch), and was given a car when I got my license. My "job" in highschool was reffing hockey, working 6-10 hours a week making $20-30/hr (depending on age/league), so that wasn't exactly hard earned money either. The simple truth is, when I moved out (immediately after finishing highschool), I was better equipped to be out on my own in the "real world" than just about anyone that didn't grow up "privileged."
The thing you people need to realize is that the "rich kid" arnoldholes you see hanging out at the mall instead of going to school would suck just as much if they were poor. Fact of life: most people suck. Their parents having money just gives you another reason to resent them.
And YES, there are way too damn many kiddies in the DA. I squelch 9/10 of the people in there based on the pitch of their voice alone.

I agree, I drive a bmw and Im not even 18 yet. I dont take it for granted either, I see it as a total privllege.

There weren't too many people in school that coulda done that to me, and if it were to happen, the wrath of my friends would have been swift and painful. And fun for the spectators, too :D But I grew up in a rich suburb.... lunch money theft wasn't an issue :p

Most teens should attain a 2 year head start in college, simply because they can, legally, drop out and get their highschool-equivalent diploma at 16 (any considered blame should be placed on you, the adult voter). Side effects include the available play time for addicting games, like AH, to become restricted. :cry
:aok
To all fellow kids with natural curiosity and a discipline to study and work, I would reccomend this route if you find that your school takes to long to teach a subject and when higher-level courses are not available, and would highly roccemend it if they "place" you in a mediocre course.
The damned administrators of US schooling think they know the world of learning down to every fundamental rule, but when in reality, a lot of kids are leaving school with nothing valuable in their minds; if anything they leave with the thought of school, essentially learning, as boring, and as we all know, learning is anything but!
A fine example of an adverse reaction from structured learning in U.S. schools: "I didn't learn in the 8th grade, but they don't, it's just the same BS over and over again. You can learn more from watching an hour of the history or science channel than you can in 3 years at hi school." In the minds of many young American's, and some older, there lies a conception of learning that, ironically, contradicts most thoughts made from natural curiosity, which is the basic inspiration for ALL learning! Therefore, you have a lot of confused kids who run off to different religions, groups, and habits to save themsleves from a consequently amassed confusion: depression.
As for AH...
We invest our time and energy into this game, and thus become damn good virtual pilots, because we see our options of earned respect, from a society of "wiser" beings (which is relatively as valid a goal to having a low score), as limited. Although, with harassment caused by adults who think annoyance is genetically in our nature, and a lack of self-esteem thereof, this seemingly unnatainable goal becomes more apparent and thus we begin our search for different ways to enjoy our existance in a peaceful manner, which is why most discovered havens of youth can be found throughout the Dueling Arena.
Please treat us nicely, it's not our fault we are annoying and refuse to submit ourselves to your ear's pleasing of unnatural voice-deepening hormones.
Thank you and good day.
