Title: Magnets?

Did the P40s have magnets on their flaps?  I dont mind flying them but it is anoying when every single ping results to flap damage.  Renders tha plane useless.

If the unswer is yes, is it the same kind of magnet they used on the Ki84 pilots heads or a different kind?

Seriusly though, is there a reason this hapens (did they have fragile flaps or heads in the case of the Ki :D ) or is it just the way damage has been modeled into the different planes?

lead is not magnetic and super man cant see though it either

True, but I was wondering if it was some kind a German secret wepon.
