Folks....I've got to say the new night time effect that we experienced Christmas Eve is fun. The old night time we had in AH1 was a bit tough to see in. The new night time is gorgeous, and easier to see aircraft. Instead of black dots you actually see a dull gray dot that occurs when the moon reflects off the aircraft. The Weds night snapshot 2nd frame was flown at night and was an absolute blast and believe it or not is easier to see in then the twilight or Dusk that we experience in the MA.
Bring back the Night!

Would be neat to try out for maybe a week on a trial basis. See how it goes.

Im all for bringin back night. Some people may argue that in real life fighter planes didnt fly at night time, but I dont think spits fought P-51's either.

No, please.
Even current sunrise/sunset too dark for me, so i dont fly until 8 am and after 4 pm usually. Leave night for SEA.

Dawn and Dusk and the only times vis is real bad for me. Lastnight flying at night in the snapshot , I could see just as good as at 12 noon. The only difference is the dots I couldnt see..but hey its night. The planes shown like there was a spotlight on them, and it made seeing them while fighting very nice.

As I recall, dusk, night and dawn all seemed to last about 20 minutes each. Now dawn and dusk are considerably longer, or seem so anyway.
I say bring it back the way it was.

Don't matter much with ingame gamma control, before it was a pain to go out and change it on card panel but just easy now.

I say get rid of dawn and dusk all together in the MA. You want night, fly SEA or do it in AtoA. Leave the MA for fighting.

I thought that ruins the monitor. And if someone needs to "cheat" to see during night, they need to find a new game where it might matter more.

You can have night. Just take your panties off and put them over your head. Presto, night time.
Edit: If you dont have or wear any, then to ask borrow superduds.

If you cant see at night, dusk, or dawn then your monitor settiings are probably off to begin with.
Particularly true and likely if your monitor is a year or more older
I'd only be for getting rid of dawn and dusk because early in the day and late in the day, just before sun rise and sun set is so blinding and accurately modeled that I get the same damn splitting headache from looking into it that I get from the real one

Ahh how i miss the Nightime Bombing raids of AH-1.

Back when we had "night" there were only 3 kinds of players.
1. Buff/porkers flying around "in the dark" thinking they were sneaky.
2. The gamma adjusters flying around blowing them out of the sky.
3. Those who just logged off.

Yea some logged off. trust me they werent missed much
There was a 4th kind.
the ones that had their monitors set up correctly to begin with and didnt have to adjust their gamma settings and just coninued to play the game;)

You don't have to do anything to the monitor for the new nightime. dots are clearly visible the moonlights reflects from them.
Most of you against having night time haven't seen the new version. Mehinks if thou didst thou wouldn't protest to much.
So quit complaining and try it before making an educated decision. Did I say educated? Might be a tad to much for some in here :)

its amazing most hate night but on Xmas eve everybody loves it.
go back to night 30 minutes of nite every 4 hours

I just don't see the need for night. what purpose would it serve?
I don't play this game 24 hours a day where a change of pace would then be necessary and even then I don't think I would want it.
What is the point. I'm sure CT will have night and SEA etc. I don't see a need for it in the MA, no matter how good it is.

Night time is pretty much pointless without radar equipped planes.
Also when we had it in AH1, all I do is up the gamma not sure how many other people do this.
I look at nighttime being a waste until we get some radar equipped planes as if others are like me, we will just up the gamma.

There were normally around 400 people ingame in US primetime, when night rolled around it dropped to 250'ish.

my 2cents as it was my SnapShot that brought this on.
I set the time for a full moon, and got rid of the fog layer, so it was indeed very "bright" and easy to see the nme. I set it up so time didnt' move, and that was why it was so clear.
Night time in the MA, while I did like it, probably won't work, because only from 'bout 4:30 to 5:25 am is really "clear".

We need night back so I can resume flying dru....... I mean supplies across the bish and rook border. and xnay on the gamma would ya, the DEA I mean nice border patrols are everywhere. since night has diasppeared
my profits have dropped and me gettin killed has gone up.
