I read in www.warships1.com (http://www.warships1.com) forums:
------------------------------------------
When the Bismarck sank one of the survivors was the ships cat Oscar, Oscar subsequently became the ships cat of the destroyer HMS Cossack, which was torpedoed and sunk by a U-boat, Oscar being a very lucky popsiclecat was again plucked from the sea. He then joined HMS Ark Royal which was subsequently also sunk by a U-boat, Oscar was again rescued. At this point the Admiralty were understandably unwilling to employ Oscar at sea again. He returned to Britain to live out in retirement in a sailors rest home in Belfast. Unfortunately he died in 1955 when the home burned down in a fire.

I wonder how many times some fishing boat sunk when that cat was aboard... before bismark.. making it up to 7 lives of cat?

The cat was purple, it was a Nazi spy.
