I have the X-45 and XP. You cannot calibrate the X-45 in windows. The settings tab does not exist for it. Was brought to my attention by OOZ http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=155836 and searched for something to dispute it. Came up dry. If any X-45 users can, please let me know.

Control panel, game controllers, highlight your stick, properties, hit ok, settings tab, then the calibrate should be on this screen. This was without the software loaded, might not be here but in the software settings when software is loaded.
-
with or without software loaded still no settings tab.

Got my X45 today. No calibration button on windows either. But works fine just calibrating it ingame.

Keep in mind, I ONLY load the drivers, I don't load the programming software. That might be the difference.
I am running the current drivers.. 4.3.3.1727

I have both the drivers and the programming software loaded... This is the screen I get in Control Panel | Game Controllers | Saitek X45 Flight Controller USB -- and "Properties".

Oops, got a bit of this thread in the background as well.
There is "Calibration" tab. Maybe you should try to unplug the joystick, uninstall, download the latest drivers and install them & then plug the joystick in..?
-
Removed the device, drivers, SST and profiler. Put in drivers from CD and later the current ones from saitek site. Still no calibate tap. Must be a HP thing. But then again everything stays centered till I move them and slide evenly till just before the end of travel when they reach the edge of the box on the screen. Had it for a year so I shold start to see some wear soon. But I beleave AH calibration will handle that better than windows will anyway(I hope).

Actually, a little while after that thread, a calibration tab just magically appeared in my Windows setup. That was my 6th or 7th X45 (long story) so it may have been a driver update.
