Ik3, the image you posted isn't just a captured spit. It's the messerspit. They took a captured spit (MkV ??) and mated the DB engine to the front. Luckily it fit almost like a glove. I think it had better performance than either spit or messerschmitt, but only barely, and was destroyed on the ground by a raid.
