Pretty sweet!
-
Looks good to me!
Lets hope the frame rates stay playable with all those bombers over the citys..
:aok
-
Now the "cities" look more like cities, rather than just some small village with an oil tank out in the middle of nowhere.
Looking good, HTC!
-
i cant wait!
-
looks awesome,
my one criticism as looking way off is the airfield...
why not have airbases that resemble historical ones? have more detailed hangars?

Furball, we didn't put up any screenshots of new airfields. You'll have to wait a bit to complain about the look of those.

City looks a bit more like it. Hope they bring back the old style of bombing. I did notice a lack of coffee and scones in the ops room :(
-
you are freakin out..man
-
The ops room:
Clock is missing both hands.
Historical posters lack enough pin-ups
Weathering? Come on!!!!!
Pile-it 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 22 right hand is mirrored to the left.
May West vest does not provide ample cleveage
... Thought I'd fill in for Krusty since he hasn't been here yet :D

There is no TOD. Sheesh.

Those interior breifing screenshots looked awsome! exactly what us role play guys are into!
Ill be interested in seeing how the Ai fit in the mix, i hope they have a seporate icon or something to keep you focused on people, would suck to comit to an AI while an real person waits above you laughing.
all in all lookin good so far!

The cities are looking pretty diverse now. I understand this is because we will have hundreds of bombers at a time, and they need to have a larger target.
My question is: will we see a difference between "residential" (which is a valid target, but not the primary) and "industrial" (warehouses and such), and/or see a goal to kill "xxx warehouses" and not just level the residential areas?
Just curious.
EDIT: I just noticed the middle "briefing" picture. If we get a new terrain like that, SWEET! AvA been wanting something exactly like that for AGES, as have scenarios, I bet.

City looks nice... I wonder how bad it'll drain fps?
-
wetrat as long as they dont catch fire FR should be alright, (atleast for me)
this stuff looks cool, been lookin foward to big cities.
and if they can, would ya post a few shots of those cities from closer up and diff angles. ty

We are actually going to me making the airfields look much more historical. The field you see in the screenshot is just a regular AH field that we are using for testing. I've based the first US field on Boxted. It's still in progress.

If you examine the city, you'll notice that the industrial parts are more brownish with large warehouse/factories. The residential areas are more maroonish. It is an early design, and not really laid out like a real city would be in CT.
-
copy that, Superfly, but my question was more along the lines of mission goals and achieving them. Will it turn towards pinpointing the industrial targets more, eventually?
I noticed the difference in residential and industrial in the screenshots and was wondering if it would play any part.

Nice screenies, especially the ramzey's one above :D
However, am I mistaken, but do the cities look a bit like the present day US cities.. residential areas with curving roads and densely built concrete buildings at small industry areas... must be IT- or electronics companies there.
Maybe it is the missing street pattern, not completely horizontal-vertical, but with mixed diagonals and also rivers and parks inside the city.
Probably such would be more difficult to make :)

ramzey, thats one of the funniest things Ive ever seen. :rofl

lol ramzey :rofl :aok

I don't know the specifics, but yes, I believe it will focus on particular areas. Not like, "bomb the 7-11 at 3rd and Main." I think it will be a more general area rather than pinpointed targets. I'm sure that could change in the future with fighter if we implemented JABO/attack missions, but, I can't give any more details than that.

Just thought. Imagine gv battles in those towns. Will be full out battles in those towns.

hehehe, must have tons of ack, too!
