What do u guys think?
EG..small feilds would have no puff ack...but you could man a gun for town killrs & target practice on running troops?
More fun?

actually i would like all field ack to be manned AK. If you ever try to sneak a gv onto a base, it is impossible unless AK is down because it always knows where you are at all times.
also some others may agree that when a enemy plane is at the base they would rather attempt to shoot it down themselves rather than relying on AI.

i say go even further: fortified AT guns at towns such as the 75mm PaK 40, the 2, 6 and mabey even 17 pound AT guns. in addition to machinegun emplacements within the town to gaurd against troops.

Agreed, all ack should be mannable.
Including the puffy ack. Should be the same as a 5" single on ships. So you can choose between AA rounds & HE for gv defense.

I've always thought HQ ack should be mannable, and wouldn't mind a couple mannable 5" guns at the HQ's either.

I like the manned puff-ack idea at bases and/or towns in general.

I agree..I wouldn't mind puff ack at all if i knew it was manned by someone trying to shoot me.

alright! well now that everyone agrees with the idea and with no opposers it will be put into the game.
whats the next step to gettin idea applyed to the game?
oh and quad .50 cal gun emplacements too, and quad 40mm!
agreed sirloin ive lost 262 to town puffy ack, one time goin 520mph 5k up and 3 miles off of base first puffy catches me on fire. SUX!

no dice, there were no stationary quad ma duce emplacements. and quad 40mm were only used on ships because they were too cumbersome to be used on land. the germans, however, did field a quad 20mm (which is ingame but unmannable).

No - ack already sucks.

All ack should be AI until someone wants to jump into the gun ... also all ack should be mannable ... not just one or two ... once you jump out of the gun, it should go back to AI.

I dislike AI ak all around, dont you guys hate getting shot down by your computer while ur tryin to kill someone?
I mean atleast if its manned an you get shot from 2k out you could say "that guy is a damn good shot", but if its AI well its programed to hit you. (AI could hit you whenever it wants).

Well the M-51 mount could be stationary, or I suppose you could tow
