HELP,lost my whole hard drive with a virus yesterday went completely blank,i have fixed that and have re downloaded the game
heres my question i have to go back through everything and set it up and after 4 years have no idea were they were set.
i need ideas copies of setups whatever you guys can give me i would appreciate it.
also can i do my setups offline and they will carry over to online????
and thanks for any given help

Yes, you can do them offline.
This is the very reason why i backup my settings folder every now and then.
If you want it, i can send you mine. I have most planes views set up, as well as convergences (usually pretty close in). Shoot me a PM with your mail and ill send them.
The biggest problem is your stick.cfg. You can either go and see if you find someone that has the same stick/rig as you and used similar settings. But im afraid the greater probabiliy is youll have to set it up new.
When you start the game, you have to redo the video settings anyway. Remember that if you want to use the 1024 textures youll have to download the highres pack.

thanks so much ill get right to it tonight ,this will save alot of time for me and i will delete that one part:aok ill let you know if i have a issue,btw what sounds do you use i did set up sounds with mitsus last night that is as far a i got was way to tired aftyer 6 hrs in front of the screen:cry

flit im not sure which it was all i know is everything hit critical error when i booted up,i can deal with setting everything back up but all the pics i lost bums me out
i downloaded mitsus latest but i have them installed but i cant remember how to set up a certain sound for a action ie check 6 has 4 files i want certain one how do i make it the action

btw shatzi thanks everything looks great but my joystick bigge3st issue know calibrated it fine but im trying to find the deadpan settings i was l8ucky and i think it was ghosth a long time ago emailed me the setting for roll pitch and axixs any ideas im using a msff2

ok everything in order know thanks a million,1 thing left i tried a vehicle last night and spawned hit my e button and engine will not start remapped it still nothing???? corrupt file??? what do you think

You need to map the vehicle functions seperatly - same for the chute functions.
If you remapped it and its still not working... hmm... did you hit OK after remapping? (I know *I* forgot to do this before, it wont accept remap then). Otherwise i dont really know. Corrupt file is *always* a possibility. You might also want to check if any of the files in your AH2 folder got write-protected while moving/sending them about. They definitly shouldnt be.
I never spend much time in GVs..... sooooo, mine are not mapped i guess.

Pretty sure you're on high speed tater, but if not I can drop off a CD with everything you need including mitsu's sound pack if you need it.
I had a bout with the Winfixer and Vundo virus !$#%$!@#!#^%^ and finally killed it.

thnks golfer i have everything up to par now except for that gv engine thing ,i just cannot figure that out IT HAS TO BE A CORRUPTED FILE and im nor sure wghich virus killed me all i know is ive learned to back my files up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen to that... ever since I had an HD blown by a virus, I've kept 2 running. I have a 60GB for my OS/programs and stuff, and I keep any file I want to have for a while on my 250GB. Good system... any time I get a virus or something that's tough to fight with, I just format the 60GB.

i have another question in my sound files there are different check 6 sounds how and were do i change the sound i have in the game ie if i wanted the japenese voice for my check6 over the theres a bandit on your 6,hopfuly i explained wghat i mean thanks

Just copy the file into the respective planes folder.
