(In catalonian...Overmars, Gerard, Petit, thanks Real Madrid).
R.Madrid--------->pays 10.000.000.000pts for Figo
F.C. Barcelona------->buys Overmars, Gerard, Petit, and Alfonso for 13.000.000.000pts.
Luis Figo BEGGED new FC. barcelona's president, Joan Gaspart, to cover and pay for his treason after signing a contract with R.MAdrid .
(Figo signed a contract with a candidate for the presidency of R.Madrid, in the hopes that he would lose the elections. That way he would see his own contract with F.C.B. raised.
The "losing" candidate won. FIgo wanted to stay in Barcelona, but he had a contract signed. He begged to stay. Gaspart sent him to Madrid with regards...and extended the hand to get the money (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) WTG GASPART!!! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) To the hell with traitors!!!).
NOw we have 4 world-class cracks, for 30% more that what we earned for Figo...and we have discovered a jewel in the right wing, Simao Sabrosa, a 19 year old player that, had Figo stayed in F.C.B would have been sold to other team.
Real Madrid has an unhappy Luis Figo, and there have been already rumours about a possible depression of Figo's wife (She loved Barcelona ,and hates MAdrid (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif))
So...
Simao,Alfonso, Overmars, Gerard, Petit...THANK YOU FLORENTINO PEREZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS REAL MADRID!!!! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
(BTW F.C.Barcelona 3- Leeds Utd 0 right now (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) ) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Hehe leonid...don't forget about Rivaldo...
His goal in the match was pure soccer art...how to break a defender without ever TOUCHING the ball (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Some Leeds defender's pride went down in that goal (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

RAM,
Rivaldo is one of my favorite players! I love the Brasiliero form of futbol of all the world's styles. For them the ball is alive (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) No, the day Barcelona give up Rivaldo will be a very sad day. I remember watching the last World Cup, and of all the Brazilian players Rivaldo really had the fire to win.
-
Heheh Leonid...just sit, get a cold beer, put the video on and record yesterday's Rivaldo's goal,...
Then replay it all the times you want. From all angles...I was soccer player until I was 18 (left forward wing, not very bad (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)), and Stoichkov, and Laudrup were my favorite players...they were incredible players capable of do magic.
But never, ever have seen that dribbling before, he lets the ball pass under his legs, never touching it. The feint was SO damned good that the defender simply couldnt stop and fell to the grass looking helpless...
I heard that Pele was the one that could dribble people without ever touching the ball. Well (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) Rivaldo can, too...
Man, WHAT A GOAL! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)...
BTW in Barça we are used to see Brasilian cracks...first was Romario, then Ronaldo, now Rivaldo...maybe soon Ronaldinho (gremio's 20 year old crack)...but between all the best of all is Rivaldo, hands down.
And he will be in Barcelona until the end od his career (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I really dont follow euro football much, but I do watch some World and Euro cup games when I can .
I am surprized Obermars is still playing how old is he now anyhow?
He certainly looked like he lost a few steps in speed this last euro cup.

Name: Marc Overmars
Birthplace: Emst (Netherlands)
Date of Birth: 29-MARCH-1973
So, Marc Overmars is 27 years old (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
What happens is that he exploded when he was very young and has been on the spotlight for a lot of time.
BTW, I dont think that Leeds' defenders agree with you in Overmars losing his speed (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

RAM,
I played amateur in Hawaii from 18 - 26. I was mostly a left wing, then shifted to midfield. I'm 42 now, but when I'm driving and see people kicking the ball in the park, I drive off the road from distraction!! Ha! I love the game. One game a long time ago in Hawaii our league had a Brazilian team - all surfers from the North Shore. I still remember that first game against them. Man! They were amazing - I'll never forget that (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Another player I like a lot is Romario. It was VERY bad that he missed last World Cup. Romario is another player with the fire, but he is more like the Englishman Jimmy Greaves, or the German Gerd Muller. Romario knows where to be when it's time. A real ghost on the field, then BOOM! - there he is! - GOAL!!! Of course, he is older, but for him I think his style suits his age better than most (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I love this game - futbol (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

yes his birthplace is emst i live near that place.
Regulary he was seen "de stunt" in Epe
One time my girlfriend was there he said to her do u know who i am ?
She said: so what (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) call him ubermars hehehe
arrogant type with a neanderthaler head.
i think those amounts off cash those players get are absurd . Really stupid because a marathon runner deserves more respect.
Problem is when these players get these amounts they think they are very important
and they just kick a ball (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

(http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) leonid...I played since I was 15 until I was 18 (before that I played with friends, not in serious teams). Right-legged left wing (heh, yes, as Overmars, my "good" leg is the right) I could always dribble inwards and let the defenders broken...to be in the "opposite" side of the field to the natural one is a BIG advantage in the offensive, if you know to use it. Plus, after breaking inwards, I could shot (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif). Defenders **allways** know to cover best the zone of the good leg, and so they usually dont cover well the dribbles towards the middle of the field. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I wasnt too bad, and I could've gone into senior teams after being 18, but I had to study and my mother told it clearly: "choose, futbol or studies...and if you choose futbol, you can start searching for a new home" (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
Well, were good years (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)...but I miss to kick the ball (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
Yeah, Romario was in FC Barcelona for nearly 2 years, he was outstanding!!! the chip master, for sure, the most feared forward in Spain...
But Rivaldo does play from midfield onwards. He does more than make goals (thing he does wonderfully), he makes other people play...
The bad things about Brazilians is that they are very excentrical...but when you put them on a futbol field, god forbid the poor team they are playing against (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

RAM (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Yes, I am left-footed, and I know exactly what you mean. Once in a while I would play practice games on the right wing to do as you did, but in the end I always went back to left. For one, I cannot chip or cross as well with my right, and also the left side of the field is too much like home for me (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) Anyway, it was almost more fun to make a good cross or pass that another player scored off of, then to score myself (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) I love good teamwork!
-
Well, that was the only problem with me...My left leg is good for...err...well for putting it on the ground (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Seriously, I can't cross the ball with left foot, but I had no serious problem in doing a feint when reaching the end line, feinting that I was about to cross and then stopping the move (hehe defenders use to fall a lot in this kind of moves, and they jump to intercept the ball (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)) when the defender was broken, I put the ball in my right foot and used to do a very close close cross to the area. 15-18 year old goalkeepers dont use to have a lot of experience in this kind of balls, and head goals were common this way (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif).
Other times I simply went into the area searching for a "death pass", or even the individual move. to go up the end line with the head up is always refreshing... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I also played some matches in right wing, but it was not the same...hehe (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
I loved to shot free kicks and corners, too. Oh, well...I MISS FUTBOOOOOL!!
