As long as they keep flying I guess. More PC sillyness.

In October, CAF members worldwide cast their votes for one of four names, including Ghost Squadron, Heritage Air Force and Heritage Flying Museum. ``We use the initials extensively, and I think keeping the same initials was one of the reasons the Commemorative Air Force name was selected,'' said Bill Bean, a member of the Old Dominion Squadron.
Darn those PC types....making people VOTE! Mighty dangerous concept.

jeeez! I guess I better go get all my old photo albums of me growing up and take the word "rebel" off any picture. I wouldn't want people thinking I faught for the wrong side back in the civil war ya know.
Man these PC types have got to go. Bunch of mamby pamby f__king rutabagas. I better watch out they may send the thought police after me...
It will always be the Confederate Airforce to me.

Oh NO! Last week at checkout counters I found myself saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS instead of MERRY CHRISTMAS! Whats happening to me? Is it ok to say HAPPY NEW YEAR??? ;)
In the name of "tolerance" for all cultures, the community leaders and educators issuing these edicts are enforcing an intolerance of any culture. Instead of encouraging Americans to celebrate their rich cultural diversity, those banning cultural expression are asking us to deny that diversity.

I've always been curious. Why did they choose the name, "Confederate Air Force" in the first place?
It just doesn't seem to fit. Then again, I'm from California so this whole Yankee/Rebel thang baffles me.

Doh.
The CAF has no connection to the Civil War. In 1957, when it was founded, five friends in south Texas -- all pilots -- split the $2,500 price of an Air Force surplus P-51 Mustang. One night, a prankster slipped into the airport and painted ``Confederate Air Force'' on the Mustang's fuselage. Amused, the five partners kept the name.

I'm sure sorry to hear about that. Confederate Air Force will always be A #1 in my book.

You may have a point. I think we should also withdraw our support of the Harlem Globetrotters, until they change their name. The racists implications are obvious. We should also force them to put short white guys on the team while we are at it. They should vote on it.
