could anyone tell me how to make a gun site please?

it must be a 256 color BMP.

black acts as transparent.

most make them in 128x128 pixels, though you can to 64x64, or 256x256.


the color of the "illuminated" part can be whatever color you want.

most use photoshop or something to make the color fade at the edges, to make it look more like a real sight.

see waffle's sights for examples.

Or cheat, like I do.

Open up one of the .bmp gunsights already in the AH2/sights folder.  I use the Paint tool in MS Start--> Accessories--> Paint.

Use the dashed-square tool to cut-n-paste over whatever you want to remove, or to copy and paste parts you want to add.  Or copy n paste an image from one bmp to another (I did this to make a mudflap girl gunsight).  Then save as 256 color bmp into your AH2 gunsights and it'll be there when you select it as your plane's gunsight.
