the file names are check6.wav and check6 jap1.wav or something like that right?

AH only looks for the one file called check6.wav so rename that to 6old.wav or something and rename the file you want.

Make your own custom check6 calls.i use the voice recording on my MSN messenger,im that too a friend and click on save as,name the file custom check6.Then simply save it in your documents file.Open the AH folder, click on sounds folder, open the plane folder you want the check6 call to be put into.Once you put the custom 6 call file in the aircraft folder rename it:

check6

close the file and move on to the next plane.

Changing your sounds is easy.  You just have to rename your new sound to the same as the one you are replacing & rename the old sound(or delete it if you know this is a permanent change).
Example: I want to change my gstrike_1 sound to a new one (ricochet.wav). I rename gstrike_1 to oldgstrike_1 and change richochet.wav to gstrike_1. Sound is changed. Too easy.  I've redone all my AH sounds using a mix of Waffle's, Mitsu's, and my own sounds.  I'm definitely no computer genius & found it to be pretty easy.  Looking for new sounds is the most time consuming part.  Type "free wav" in a search engine & you'll get lots of web sites w/ lots of sounds.  The only problem I had was matching the rate of fire of some weapon sounds. Just takes a little trial & error.  Hope I helped <>
