I guess it was bound to happen.  How many heads can you saw off of living people on video before there is a backlash towards the general religeon?

Christianity has been "made fun of" for really really long, brought up in a recent thread here... i say F them, i'm going to laugh at their misery since they have mocked my religion already.

if some mohammad worshiper don't like it, let him tell it to my face..at least that way he won't have time to strap on some ord before he gets an earfull on Islam bashing.

The site is either experiencing DoS attacks from muslims or it's overloaded with publicity.

Gotta admire the marketing wit of those people. Even if they will never manufacture a single shirt, they got publicity even Bill Gates can't buy.

Lets send a shirt to Osama Bin Laden....

Now where did I put his mailing address?

oh and of course one to Salmon Rushdie.  That would really burn there arses.

one side of me thinks its funny..
but the other side asks why?
I work with a muslim programmer and though he thinks the rioting over the cartoon is crazy, they firmly believe that there shouldn't be any images of their prophet.
so why spit on someone else's beliefs?

what happens when they start wearing t-shirt's ppl of some other faith find as offense as they will of these?

all it will do imho is turn more moderate ones against us .. no good can come of it, except make the t-shirt makers rich...

I have an idea for the most offensive t-shirt ever made.
none of the words are profane, but i'd probably be banned if i posted it.
In fact, its not unlikely that The Scuzz would fly out & break my computer & all my fingers

The insensitivity and total lack of PC  showing in this thread has me very proud of you all ::sniff sniff::

There may be some hope left in the world after all.

That being said. We can all do our part in stamping out this rather absurd notion of political correctness ourselves by doing what Im going to do.

Take one of those cartoons in question and a sheet of Iron on transer paper available for computers and make my own T-shirt.

I personally plan on using the "Go back go back we are out of virgins" cartoon. But you all may use what you wish.

Who woulda thought that some cartoon pissing off a bunch of muslims would advance my favorite cause. The fight against political correctness.

I believe in Christ, among others, and feel pity for those that make the t not anger

then again we have statues, crosses, holy cards, rosaries, etc.... and do not mind the image concept
same can't be said for them & their prophet

See the difference? Don;t make excuses for the animals, just call it what it is, babarism..the same babarism they wish to place the whole world under.

I'm catholic, and not offended.  Not making excuses, I'll do something else.  I can careless what religion someone else is, I'll never impune on their beliefs.  You see, I move on in life, as should everyone else.   Killing people in protest over cartoons?  If you believe so, you are blind.

I completely agree.  If people are going to wear t-shirts with that cartoon on then it's only a matter of time before someone gets injured/killed for wearing it.

exactly

ignorance breeds ignornace

what side of the aisle you are on makes little difference in the end

can't you see that a t-shirt, bumper sticker, whatever that gets the average islamic undees in a wad, is playing right into the extermists hands and thus a victory for the radical ones...

sorts of like a recruitment poster - push a few more from the ranks of the moderate to the extreme - wtg!!

I have mixed feelings about it too, but this stuff takes on a life of its own.  I have Muslim friends.  I wouldn't wear the Tshirt myself.  But I can understand why many people would.  Islam has some serious public relations problems. Maybe when the umma sees the whole infidel world reacting negatively to Islamic extemists cutting people's heads off on video by wearing T-shirts like this, they will decide that they need to control the extemist part of Islam.  If they number 99.999 % of Islam, this shouldn't be that hard to do.  The mere act of TRYING will clean up their image.

I have a question. Is the picture of mohamed clearly indicative of the individual? I mena does he have an allah manufactured nametag identifying him as mohamed in the cartoon? How is is specific enough to determine the figure in the cartoon is in fact mohamed? Did I miss something in the cartoon?

If the figure in the cartoon is NOT mohamed is it still as offensive to islamic terrorists and the other islamists who support them either directly or tacitly?

Mav, I don't know for sure.  Good question.  I figured the prophet's features were totally made up because I thought the bomb headed one looked a bit different compared the one standing on a cloud, and both of them look different from an image of the prophet shown in the link below.

Anyway, its looking to me like this whole issue is being super-hyped by interested parties, including dictatorships in the ME who might even be blaming far more offensive images on the West in order to distract their people from their own corruption and the harsh living conditions.   I think the rich, educated dictators are secular and cynical... while they publically profess strong religious beliefs.  The issue seems to be just what the doctor ordered for terrorists and dictators.

I have a t shirt that shows a large depiction of stonehenge on the front with the words "Gimme that old time religion" over the top.

if it offend any of my christian friends..... tough.

As I meet more muslims or am around them... I will probly offend them... again... tough.   If they want to fight we will fight.  if they want to riot... I will gun em down like the mindless, stampeding herd animals that they are.

But you see I do blame 100%....if I know my neighbor is a terrorist, I do the right thing and turn him in, not harbour him.

Printing by principle, like other countries did in the EU, after the polemics broke out, ok..
But buying and wearing those shirts, now, out of anything more than memorabilia.. that's as stupid as screaming fire 50 years after the joke got old, or wearing an I (red plane) NY tshirt for brownie points.
Unless you actually have a proper solution for the arguments headed your way.
