Title: Need advice
Post by: Fariz on February 10, 2006, 07:39:05 PM
I know it is not HTC problem, but will apreciate advice.

Few days ago I started getting lags around 500ms instead of 210ms which I had after setting ADSL and changing ISP. I trace it, result see below.

So, problem is aparently is beyound my local provider. When I ping other US servers, everything still fast and ok.

Question is, can I somehow change this situation? Is there a way to alternate packets routing or who I possibly can contact to change situation?

Again, I know that it is not an HTC problem, but after having normal lag it is absolutly horrible to get back to the lagging kingdom :(

First, the server IP addresses, to be used for traces/ping plots.

Main Arena Server Address: 206.16.60.39
All other arenas: 206.16.60.38
The current port range for all arenas in Aces High is 2000-5000, inclusive, for UDP and TCP. Aces High will use a subset of those ports for all online play.

I believe any problem with point between you and HTC should be passed to your ISP first and they should pass it down the line, or up the line. Something fishy in the transition from telia to att. I know some trace programs or other apps have sort of a 'who is this' feature that can give some information. There might be a support email address you could send it to.
Not sure how much weight a single opinion would carry that route.

This opinion is from a non guru, non geek type individual so take it with a grain of salt.
