It was a long boring flight. That was to be expected. However, of the 7 pups that took off, five of us made it home. Lets all toast our fallen comrades with a nice glass of vodka. The sick pups ruled and destroyed all that was assigned to us. I didnt expect many if any of us making it out alive.
A lot of thought and planning went into the orders we recieved. By following them as best we could, we accomplished our task. It may not have had exitement along the way but that was the way war goes. If you ever look at the bomber flight plans from WWII you should notice that more often than not it was an indirect way to target. FSO is designed to recreate what happened. In last nights mission I would think it basically did that. From the long boring flight to the rendevouz with fighter escort hundreds of miles from launch point to the ultimate attack and egress home
A big hearty salute to the mission planner.

Thanks guys! It was my first attempt being the planner, and as of this week I finally discovered this message board :)
When I did my test flight beforehand in an A20 to make sure the group would hit the target before the 60 min mark I actually tried to dive bomb the field. The ack ate me alive! So how you did what you did and had so many survivors is incredible. Thanks for not making me look like a handsomehunk!
