Have you tried deleting the cache? Sounds like a bad texture file to me....

Go into the AHII folder (Usually C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II\) and delete the "Cache" folder. Then start the game.

Try renaming the Aces High 'settings' folder to another name and see if the problem persists.  The 'login.cfg' file in the 'settings' folder contains your login/password information.  Just copy it to the new 'settings' folder.

Just a thought....is there a water sound?  If so it might be corrupted....as I said just a thought :)
