Anyone using this card? If so, what drivers run AH? My stock drivers out of box are giving me a CTD when attempting to load the game (PF will load and play just fine).
-
There's usually no reason to not get the latest drivers and run them.

For future readers, that doesn't apply to the FX5xxx series of nVidia cards. You'll need 61.77 for those.
Everybody else, ignore my post. :D

OK.. on the latest drivers as of last night... still CTDing. I have NO idea what might be causing this. :O

If it worked before you got that card, suspects could be a weak power supply, insufficient case cooling, or a defective video card. I don't know if that card requires additional dedicated power but if it does, make sure it's plugged in.
-
It only needs to plug in to the PCI-E x16 slot. The card will run Pacific Fighters fine.

Hmmm. Fresh install of AH Scrap? Is this the new PC? At what exact point does the game crash? As soon as you try to run it, as soon as you enter the arena, after 5 mins, an hour?

Fresh install (multiple tries)
New Rig
Crashes as soon as it tries to load; never even see the splash screen.

Any chance you have either a sound issue or a DX problem?
I've seen both do what your describing.

THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING...EVEN IF DXDIAG SAYS THERE ISN'T A PROBLEM, THERE MAY BE ONE KEY FILE CORRUPTED. RE-INSTAL DX9C, THEN TRY ROLLING BACK TO CAT. 4.12, OR CAT 5.3. THEY BOTH WORK VERY WELL ON MINE(9600XT, DIFFERENT CHIP THAN X800 BUT THEY BOTH WORK VERY WELL ON MY FRIENDS X800XT) AND DON'T INSTALL THE CONTROL CENTER, AT LEAST UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT'S MESSIN WITH YOU
