In the 1st pic they are about to be dive bombed by 3 Lancs on an airfield closing suicide run.

Its not pretty.

i think the guy on the left just made a grab for the one in the middle.  thats why he has a shocked expression on his face.

Third photo labeled "Unterseeboot" is the VIIC Type U-boat U-552 Capt Eric Topp. The Red Devil Boat, IIRC, sank the USS Ruben James, first US Destroyer lost in WW2.

The fifth photo is the VIIC U-201 "The Snowman."
