What I meant was, what will happen if they do that and get media attention?

no no, the bottom of the shoe is a insult to muslims, so you step on it, just make sure TV crews have their cams rolling.
-
Ive thought about this idea, for me the thought was "hey lets get a flag of every Islomic nation thats out there buring US flags and throwing a 13yr olg girl hiss fit cause shes grounded off the phone, Call Al Jazerra (only them no US TV Stations or news groups) Hold a demonstration and beat em with our shoes then burn em till the ashes then stomp on the ashes"
Only to give them a taste of there own medicine!
Then the though opf just how much it would cost in Flags made me forget the idea.
So in protest i think i might just buy a Koran, set it on the back of my toilet, pull out a page every time im dropping the browns off at the super bowl and read the page then clean my bottem with it! (sometimes i might have to read a few pages) - ((no pun intended) BUTT it might plug the pluming with sheeooty koran pages.
:aok

Then we would be no better then them BoxBoy. One of the things I am proud of is that the American people do not burn flags. Flags usually represent the good of the nation as a whole. Not the bad.

Why burn flags when u can fly warplanes into their airspace and roll tanks trough their land?
-
Burning flags shows disrespect to the whole nation without the need for direct agression.
I think it would be a good idea to send a similar message back to the radicalists - we can get radical too and you best believe, it ain't going to be pretty.

Who cares about burning flags? Anyone is welcome to burn my country's flag or any other flag. You are welcome to burn books as well, as long as those are not my books.
Flags, like so many other stupid icons of a country become as important as the thing they represent in people minds. HEY! you can't burn that piece of cloth with paint on it resembeling certain markings! it will hurt my country!
Extreme caring for your flags and symbols is the stupidest kind of patriotism. This is exactly like idol worshiping which is built into human psycology. Leaders knew how to exploit this since ever. It's much more effective to give the masses something physical to care about than some elaborate and complicated ideals and concepts. The flag itself becomes the country, the book itself becomes the religion. Fools.
That'll be 0.02$ for the counceling. Thank you.
Bozon
p.s.
I was going to give a certain religious example here, but it might hurt a few good christians.

I can agree with that. Those that are the most offended here at home are those old folks that lived during the occupation. it wasnt legal for them to show the flag for 5 years so for them it got a huge symbolic value. When they see it burning and stepped on they get really sad.

That's a pro-Chechen website "kavkaz.fi" and this guy(Seppo Lehto, a well known section a) is announcing his campaign there.

Mr Lehto just made himself enemy of the state methinks.
