Title: Sadaam on hunger strike
Post by: Curval on February 14, 2006, 07:54:14 AM
Good. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060214/ap_on_re_mi_ea/saddam_trial)

I hear starvation is a very nasty, painful and slow way to die.  It's quite fitting.

Give him a week, then lay out a nice rack of BBQ baby back ribs in front of his cell door all nice hot and steamy. Put some nice potato salad, a green salad and some beans for side dishes. If it makes ya feel better a dish of kous kous could be there as well. :t :t

Heres what I dont get

Back in WW2 when they had the nazi trials, they were convicted in no time and hanged/shot/etc.  With saddam, they make a big stretched out deal out of it. Everyone knows he is guilty, just shoot him and get it over with

good, keep doing whatever it is the judge is doing to force this response, for O say 2 months, that should solve this problem.

I guess what I find amusing is how Saddam continues to think he can evoke pity from others about his situation.  From his claims to being abused to now this hunger strike, in light of the charges against him...its just pure irony.

Go ahead, Saddam.  Keep crying.

Anyone who doesn't eat beef deserves to be shot.

You don't get a lot it seems. The Nuremberg trials after WWII lasted four years.

"The Nuremberg trials after WWII lasted four years."

Too bad the Nazi's hadn't gone on a hunger strike.  How long can a human last without food or water?
Saddam certainly could save people a lot of time and money should he off himself.  Would certainly make it easier for the "Coalition of the Few" to leave Iraq anyway and not have to worry they'll put him back in place..

I think its 3 days without water. And longer without food. Also depends on activity, enviroment, and self endurance.

Will sheep do instead?

Fawns are hard to find here.

Ok, so I'm probably not going win any beef producers awards for trying to encourage the bovine challenged to convert to beef. But hey, I've got to try, after all business is business.

And as for saddam's hunger strike, I can't see him going to far with it. He's been too pampered and he thinks too highly of himself for self sacrifice. Beneath the bravado he probably wants too live forever. I reckon if I stuffed a plate of my brother's/girlfriend's- orange, date and bran muffins in front of his face he would probably scoff the lot 'em despite the foul taste, and as a bonus they wouldn't need to execute him cause he would sheet himself to death.

Also take a look at how long Milosevics trial is taking.

3 days?   That'd do the trick and toote_suite too!

"take a look at how long Milosevics trial is taking."

Well if Milosevic had broken some US law or had attempted to murder a US president then the US could have gone an'done a Noriega on him.

Which begs the answer.  Why is Saddam still in Iraq if he supposedly attempted to have Bush Sr assasinated. That would be attempted murder and IMO should have had him on an express flight to Leavenworth.
