This should be a fairly easy addition (since there already is a B-17 in the game) and very useful if we are going to have a decent planeset for 1943 period.

It COULD, but did not operationally. What we have is the usual operational bomb loads. This is why there are lots of interesting ord options missing from most of the planes in the game -- they were just too rare.

So we have planes as they operated. Not at factory best conditions and not rare one-off prototypes. In that spirit we also get operating ord options.

what krusty said. and to add:

the 17000lbs is what it COULD carry, however, to fly to germany, they had to lose over half of that so that they could carry the fuel needed to get to the target. i imagine the 17000lb load would get you 20 mins of flying time

Get rid of the gear and put in a skid and then you're set.

Post by: Krusty on February 16, 2006, 12:24:53 AM: FYI: Chances are we will get a throttle/control system when it's upgraded. Having these is part of the "new" level of quality. The b17 we have now is "old". So when it's upgraded it will get these features.
