link will probably be gone by tommorrow since it's daily news... but wow. either he's frighteningly tough... or his enemies need to spend some time at the range.
He's one of the most notorious names on the street who claims to have been shot fourteen times and has three bullets lodged in various parts of his body. Well, last night Herman "Yagga" Morris was hit by bullet number 15 this one in his head and, again, has lived to tell the tale. Yagga was ambushed inside his Raccoon Street Extension yard and once again escaped death but this time only barely. That bullet is lodged in his head as he recovers in the KHMH. When we spoke to him today, the man called Yagga had a message for the shooter.

"I hope they know that they will regret this; this one they'll have to have to regret. They will regret this. Definitely I will go for revenge. Definitely I am not playing with any of them."
From his hospital bed a bandaged but defiant Herman "Yagga" Morris vowed revenge on the gunman who ambushed him last night in his own yard. Around 9 pm Yagga returned to the apartment he rents in this lot on the extreme end of Raccoon Street Extension. The gunman apparently hid behind this septic tank. This blood now covered in sand belongs to Yagga. Just minutes before the shooting "Yagga" was with his friend "Jun Jun." He asked us to conceal his identity.
"Jun-Jun,"
"He sent me to go buy the chicken and the man left behind me and told me was going to a house around so. When I got there I bought the chicken and I was coming back and I heard some shots, about two to three shots lick off. "

So you believe the guy was waiting in the yard?
"Jun-Jun"
"Yes because when me and him came we didn't see anyone. Anytime the man was right in the yard waiting for him and he was behind the septic tank."
Keith Swift,
You think that if you were hit him they would have shot you?
"Jun-Jun"
"Definitely. If they didn't see me coming they would have shoot up the house and pickney and kids women were in the house and thing."
And while Jun Jun is happy he wasn't shot, Yagga is mad. He isn't mad because he got shot. Yagga is mad because of how he was shot.
Herman "Yagga" Morris,
"Why didn't they approach me like a man. Is that how much fear they have of me? They could have approached me like a man. Treat me like a man and do me what they will do me in my own yard."
Keith Swift,
Why would they want to kill you?
Herman "Yagga" Morris,
"I went through a lot of things in my life, this isn't the first shot I am getting."
Keith Swift,
But somebody wants to kill you.
Herman "Yagga" Morris,
"This makes it the fourteenth time they shot me so somebody is."
Keith Swift,
What would you say to that person?
Herman "Yagga" Morris,
Come do it yourself. If you want me dead come and do it yourself. Guns aren't designed to kill me, they have to grab and stab me up. If they don't stab me, they can't kill me. You get the sense. No gun design to kill me."
For the record, a nine-millimeter was used on "Yagga" last night.
"Yagga" Morris has a bullet in his chest, his rib cage, and two in his head. He has numerous convictions and has spent time in jail. He is currently on bail awaiting trial for allegedly robbing SJC students. He previously spent 5 years in jail on a robbery conviction. We don't know if it is a coincidence but Yagga's cousin Shelton Smith was shot over the weekend.

send yagga's bragging bellybutton to hialeah florida and have him make that statement on the corner of W 29 street and W 8th avenue in spanish.

Send his bragging butt to Iraq or Afghanistan and see how tough he is there.

Personally, I think this guy should be a rapper. Getting shot sells records, even if you survive it.

I met a guy as an intern in college who had been shot 15 times. He would have been a total hardass, except he could only limp around on crutches. Bummer.

I read somewhere that 80% of the people shot with handguns survive.
Useless factoid.
I'll go out on a limb here and guess there's no .45 caliber holes in him, he's got poor taste in friends and his life insurance policy got cancled some time back.

I know of a guy who survived three .45s from close range back during the '80s cocaine wars here. he was a huge black man now he's only 3'-6'' tall because he sits in a wheel chair all day long. It has been commented by long time local resisents that he was real tough guy before that incident. Apparently he was shot in the back by some skinny colombian kid at very close range while he was attempting to run away.

There is a gangster in Dublin known as 'The Viper'. I won't mention his real name as he likes litigation. He was shot 13 times on three seperate occasions and lived. With little enough side effects although he did lose the top of one finger. There were also several other attempts on his life where they failed to get him. He has more enemies than Saddam Hussein. The police, the press, gangsters, drug dealers, IRA etc etc. But he lives a charmed life.
He sued the gunman who shot him on one occasion and won 120,000 Euro. Not that he got paid or anything. He later planted a fake bomb under the car of a crime journalist who had written about him. Naturally the journalist wouldn't be intimidated and continued to write about him. So the Viper sued the newspaper. He lost.
He's still a drug dealer and still getting away with it, still walking the streets. He'll probably die in bed aged 99.

He just hasn't met the right person with the right gun. Eventually, all those "badass" people do though. His time will come, and he'll die ugly.

Lets see him survive a .50 cal round.
Maybe the shooters should try aiming with the weapon vertical instead of sideways/gangsta style. Or Chuck Norris could roundhouse kick a pebble into him and obliterate his body.

he probably bunny hops. I have seen people survive a burst of 5.56 at 5 yards when they hop up and down.

Why can't bullets be made outta something other that lead..poor chap is going to get lead poisoning.

9mm is a wuss round.
But even at that, if Mr. Bad Arse is hit center mass he'll never be the same again, even if he lives.
Take any medium-to-high velocity rifle round and top it off with a fast expanding cartridge, such as Nosler Ballistic Tip, and surviving is not an option.

If I shot him I wouldn't care of he lived or not. I just want him to stop whatever he was doing before I shot him..
If he wants to come after me in his wheelchair later.... that's fine too.
