Title: Gold!
Post by: Nilsen on February 18, 2006, 08:52:38 AM
Kjetil André Aamodt (born September 2, 1971 in Oslo) is a Norwegian Alpine skier. He is the only Alpine skier to win EIGHT olympic medals, and has won 5 world championship gold medals as well as 21 individual World Cup events. Described as an allround alpine skier, Aamodt participates in all alpine skiing disciplines in the FIS worldcup and championship, and is one of only 5 male skiers in history to have won a world cup race in every one of the 5 alpine disciplines. His combined career total of 20 World Championship and Olympic medals is an _all-time best_.

With his gold today he is the only alpine skier ever to win 3 olympic gold medals in one dicipline :)

WTFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you guys are so lucky!  in the UK i have to take my snowboard to an indoor fake snow run of 200yrds in length.

Hoping to go out to Myrhofen (sp?) in austria for winter, that place is fantastic.

i love Val therons too, if going for the apres-ski rather than the setting!!

is it good in norway? I like off piste and tiny little jumps that wont kill me.

hehe you kidding?

Nothing but mountains and snow here... there is 150cm of xnow outside my house atm :)

If you ever come here you have alot of great places to ski, and off piste is no problem either if you have the cash for a helo ride.

If the Norwegian captain didn't make those mistakes, it would have been a close game. :) Norway (and Nilsen).
