Title: Symantic Antivirus
Post by: recon7 on February 18, 2006, 06:14:07 PM
I always turn off Symantic before I log into AH.  It usually becomes re-Enabled before I log off AH.  Anyway to keep it off for the duration?
Thanks,

Depends on what version. 2005 (Norton Internet Security) allows you to pick the amount of time it stays off. "Until system restart" keeps it off until either the computer restarts or you uncleck the "Disable AntiVirus Auto-Protect" thing.

I used to turn off my norton av and zonealarm before stating AH, but since getting norton internet security last year, I don't turn off either and it doesn't seem to have an effect on AH at all

NIS isn't affecting mine all that much either. I never really trusted ZA anyway.

Got it.  Was set to restart automatically at 30 minutes.  I just unchecked that box.

Thanks for the replies!
