I've rowed competively for my uni. and until you've tried it you'll never no how good it is - especially winning races. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Hurts like hell though, and the 6:30 am starts in February aren't much fun. It's a great sport though.
Hats off Redgrave and co. for a monumental achievement; and to Redgrave for the first man in history to win five olympic golds in succession in an endurance event. Nice one. The fact that the bloke is diabetic and 38 years old makes his achievement all the more towering. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
AK - It's been the same for a hundred years, except for the new 'cool' events. You can still see all the 'old' events - nothing there changes.

I like what Bob Costas said. Something like, "Seems like everything I did in gym class or my backyard is an olympic sport now."
Beach volleyball??? You know, if Brazil ever host the Olympics the next olympic sport will be beach futbol.

Don't see the problem with it... if it gets kids interested in sport rather than playing silly computer games...
Ooops... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Someone please explain why horseback riding is an Olympic sport and Golf is not? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
