It's probably been brought up before, but I'm relatively new here, so.....
How about the   L-4 Grasshopper (http://www.kiteair.com/wayne.htm)  or the  L-5 Sentinel (http://www.geocities.com/akdhc2pilot/)  "Flying Jeep" .
Option of firing a carbine out the windows as turrent positions, and MASSIVE bonus adjustment.......

Single patroling destroyer....with torps.

Rat Patrol jeeps.

B-29 bought with perky points and limited fields to up from..... I don't need nukes, but I'd love to level a town, fleet, or HQ with a flight of them.

Incediary bomb option.  Homage to Dresden and Tokyo.

Option for AP or API rounds for the Ma Duce (armor piercing/armor piercing incediary ammunition for Browning Machine Gun Caliber .50 HB, M2 ....my personal crew served weapon while on convoy escort duty in Iraq).... I like close air support too.

Bailey Bridge (did I mention I'm a Combat Engineer?)
