Question for ya Skuzzy:

Is there an easy way to check for the tracking cookies BEFORE you go there?

Or are you just setting a blocker and getting the count?

I just block them all, then read the report.  I allow what I need to allow and block everything else.

Furball, I have found most news sites are the worst for cookie abuse.

Any coincidence that most of those countries have good skiing, and we're in the middle of the Winter Olympics?

What about Fiji?  Tahiti?  C'mon!

Hey, I'm all for pullin the plug on all the forigen aid, bringin our kids home, tossing out the illegals and ripping up all trade treaties that don't reciprocate tarriffs.

In other words... the resta the world can go scratch; I have no desire to see America play 'Empire Strikes Out'. Police yer own messes up and leave us the hell outta everyplace that don't have a US zipcode.

But that's just me.

Meanwhile, our Imperious Leader and his imagined mandate (what's his approval rating NOW??) with the corrupt band of beancounters chorus (aka the Legislature) have other ideas.

I like you Hang but don't kid yourself.  America thinks they have to be the moderator in everything.  Sure countries ask for aid, but we're acting like big brother a lot of the time.

Please do not generically state what 'America' thinks.  I am with Hang on this one, as are many Americans.

Sad to say, we have no control over what our politicians do and those are the people you want to link to when making statements like the one above.

A lot of the time? Try ALL the time.

And it sucks. No wonder we're hated and villified around the world. Most americans could care less what happens in england or anyplace else... how's that translate into us sticking our unwanted noses in anything? Really.. the world (and england, if it's still oin the planet) can go scratch for all I care.

Furbie, you got a rotten tooth english complex or something? England can do just fine without our meddlesome assistance in any of your affairs... and if you think I'm advocating our Imperious Leaders policies abroad, you missed the point I was trying to make utterly.

My apologies by "America" I meant the politicians who control the country.  When was the last time a citizen had a say in whether the country goes to war or stays home?

Global domination, global conquest, taking over the world, world conquest.
In World War II, the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler had ambitious plans for directly controlling all of Europe, and then obtaining a position of power that would make them a formidable superpower in global politics.
Look at Hitler know.

Bulls**t!   The problem is, the "holier than thou" countries who are MORE THAN capable to step in, refuse to, and would rather cash in on arms deals, get kickbacks for bogus U.N. "fundraisers".    The silent majority of the world are more responsible than the U.S. always being looked upon as the World's 911 number.

To America the best damn country and THE VETERANS THAT MAKE IT THE BEST!  <> U.S. Veterans, and Thank you for your service.

I can control the behavior of my government?  Really?  How would you suggest I go about this?  More specifically, how can I make Georgey boy pull his head out of his bellybutton and quit sending our troops in where they don't belong?  I would really appreciate your help on this, as I haven't come up with anything yet.

See skuzzy, if your going to oppose the actions of the US goverment you have to be prepared for this kind of thing, you now hate the US, you hate vetrans, you love sadam huesien, your weak on everything from global warming to broke back mountain. I understand why its hard to oppose. Believe me I do, but thats not to say you cant influence your goverment, it just means your afraid to because you will be subjected to this kind of nonsence. Its real fun when you get banned for arguing with people like this. Give it a try some time.

I agree in principle to Hang's Four-Point Plan (HFPP), with just a few caveats...

1. Cut all foreign aid. I would say a drastic reduction in foreign aid based on a comprehensive 'value' review. Some aid returns value from some places. There are poor nations (through lack of resources - natural and financial) who give support to the US in strategic ways.

2. Bring the boys home. Agreed.

3. Tossing out illegals. Agreed.

4. Ripping up all trade treaties that don't reciprocate. Dicey proposition since all countries are required by conscience to protect the interests of their citiziens and economy. The US protects its own interests as vigilantly and stridently as other countries do, so it might not be in the best interest for Americans to throw them all out. How about logical trade agreements, since both parties need to gain benefit?

Free trade has an effect that is good for America, strategically - the more free markets in nations become, the more democratic their governments become. It's a correlation where mutual investment in economies tempers irrational politicians that hamper growth. Nations building, buying, using products and services of other nations raises all participating nations. Some are builders and some are buyers. Competition raises the bar for mankind.

If you really believe that, you know very little about our country and how the politics in it work.  The American people have little to no control over thier politicians, and those which think they do are just kidding themselves.
