Title: CH Pro Pedals repair

I got a pair of CH Pro Pedals now about 6 years old. So far they have been working flawless, but last night I noticed the left toe break has stopped responding and is transmitting full deflection at all times.

Does anyone have experience with repairing these pedals, or might even know what could be causing this? I don't want to open up the case if there is nothing I can do about it. After all the brakes are only used 1% of the time and I can live without it.

Why don't you just ask this over on The CH-Hangar (http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/)? Michael and Debby and others from CH Products check this frequently, so you should get the best answers there.

there is a little wire that gets cut after a while. it is easy to open and fix, slightly harder to get the whole thing back together again :)

I have a set that I took apart and coudnt get back together.
So I replaced them.

best thing I ever did regarding opening up and cleaning out my CH Fighter Sticks or CH Combat Stick or CH Pedals/Pro Pedals was take a pair of crimping pliers and crimp down on every wire connection that was loose fitting. ( which from my experience is every single one of them ).......this had a result of dropping / cutting out the lil twitches , the spikes, the loss of say a directional movement be ith with the joystick/rudders/or throttle and helped it hold calibration alot longer........( talking all analog devices here )

can not say I ever had any trouble putting any of them back together though the pedals took a wee bit longer......

yea, i had mine apart a cupple of years ago, the pot holder gets wedged in the slot.  Just had to re seat and been working fine ever since. If everything looks ok,  mechanically and the wires are sound, it has to be the potentiometer.  I dont know if they sell spares.  (Assuming it isnt a setup problem)

is there a toe brake pot also?.  I thought mine had a seperate pot for the toe brakes.  ITs been a while though.  thats a cool ch parts page there.  I wish logitech had spare parts dept, other than the 6 or 7 i have in the junkyard.  They give some crappy pots with thier joysticks and wont sell spare parts.  So ya gotta do the 'buy another one and put the junker in the box and take it back within the 30 day' scam.  A definate case of justified dishonesty when the pot goes bad after a cupple of months.

thats cause logijunk uses some oddball cheapy pos for pots..

at least saitek uses a real pot .

Toe brakes are ussually switches in most peds there not a pot normally .

Ahhh crap. This thread must of jinxed me. My left toe brake quit last night. Now I have to open up my pedals fix the wire and try to put them bake together. Wasn't fun the last time.
