The good thing is since no good guys had guns all that was lost was..... freedom, dignity, human rights and a few bucks.
no wonder they were voted "most boring people on the planet".

Huh?
You are making a claim that because hand guns are illegal in the UK there shouldn't be ANY gun crime.
That is like saying because there are drug laws in the US (and the UK too, no denying) there shouldn't be ANY drugs being bought or sold.

i didnt say it was!
neither did the article!
"Southampton has had a busy operational time, with the ship's recent involvement in two search and rescue incidents. However, it just shows that our presence here in the Caribbean has been extremely worthwhile. The success of this incident highlights the benefits of international and joint collaboration against drug smuggling."

As I have stated on this board in the past, in Ripsnort's book, a law has to work 100% perfectly all the time, else it should be repealed. 99.8% isn't good enough!

"When guns are outlawed, only outlaws have guns."
Case in point. :)
-
And when drugs are outlawed, there will still be plenty of drugs available.
When alcohol was outlawed, alcohol consumption went up.
Too tired to argue tonight - going to bed.....
