Any chance of placing some kind of sunshade which can be activated with a keyboard command while in flight. Say, you hit a key on the keyboard, some transparent green aviator glasses come down over your view to diminish the effects of the glaring sun. Sometimes you have to look into that glare for quite a ways unless you block it with a support for the canopy or fly a less direct route, zig-zagging to your destination. Just a thought that might be fun to have. Maybe this topic has been addressed before. Dunno?

Yup, it has, but it's still a damn good idea.

There are many classic WWII stories and movies with details of fighters jumping other fighters or bombers from "coming out of the sun". So, it made it into the game.
Sunglasses in the 40's prolly not quite as good as they are today, and even today, the sun low on the horizon can keep you from seeing things (which is why I park the bike and get some coffee at sunrise/sunset rather than take the risk of that coffe-spilling, cell-phone-talking, back-seat-child-beating, putting makeup-on-it-the-mirror cager driver may not actually see me in the bright sunlight).
It's a environmental hazzard. Another obstacle to deal with and overcome.
Yeah, a royal pain at times, but I've used it to my advantage more often than it's hindered me, so I live with it.

Yeah but even the canopy rail doesn't block 100% of the sun glare in real life like it does in AH2 and did in AH. Sure it will diminsh the direct effects of the sun itself but its not going to completely make things viewable again like it happens now.
