Ok, I don't have a joystick and I was hoping there was some way to map the mouse movements to the direction keys so the planes fly somewhat like BF2....Instead of pushing the mouse foward to make the nose go down I want to push the up arrow. Instead of moving the mouse left to make it bank left, i want to push the left arrow, etc.

Flying with keyboard is not possible in AH.
While mouse is not officially supported, its possible. Best is to use a Joystick though. Doesnt have to be anything fancy, a simple 4-button with hatswitch for views will do.
You can get good sticks with rudder/throttle control for as little as 25 USD.

also bear in mind that THIS game is probably one of the most difficult games to master. It will literally take years (if ever) to be officially "good" at Aces High.
Spend the money on a joystick. Otherwise you will be at a huge disadvantage.
(don't let me discourage you. Some people get quite "ok" in mere months)
This is the only game (and AirWarrior) that has been able to hold my attention for over 10yrs now.

Do yourself a favor and get a joystick.
And another thing...this is nothing like flying in BF2 or BF1942. The flight model is a tad more realistic than what you've been used to. It's going to be frustrating and honestly, you probably won't last more than the free trial period because the learning curve is rather steep.
So if you really want to give this game a chance and believe me, it's well worth the effort then get a joystick and check out some of the player squadron sites because a lot have posted training guides and films.
Oh, and one last thing...the only plane in this game that is worth flying is the P-38 Lightning. Don't let these llamas try and tell you different, they're just ignorant and blind to the truth.

Dont let Ack-Ack confuse you the only plane true pilots fly is Jugs (P-47s).
What he is saying about this game beeing more realistic is a understatement. This game is ALOT more realistc and the BF games are VERY arcade in their flight models.
Though once you have made the transition its much much much more rewarding to fly AH2 then BF2 and/or BF1942.
But as said you really do wana use a stick and they arnt that expencive.
The best site to start at is http://www.netaces.org it has alot of good information for new and experienced pilots.
Also getting into the Training Arena will help you get started much much much faster then trying alone in the Main Arena.

Etias, everything those guys have said, and one more.
Hook up with a trainer once you have that joystick.
So you get a head start on that learning curve.
Yes it is hard, yes its a huge challenge, yes it is addicting.
And yes its the kind of game you can spend the rest of your life mastering.
Like Wmlute I've been flying for 9 years online now, and I'm still learning something new most every day.

Couldn't be more boring than how it is now with either 90% of the MA in the La7 or Spit XVI....

ah come on acky ack, now it is more realistic to say maybe 50% to 70% but split that percentage up some fly La7s, some fly La5s, alot fly all variants of the spitfires.......
don't exagerate so much :-)
