For some reason, any time there is an apostrophy (') used in a post, my browser displays it as the character string
’
Any ideas? I have the latest updates from MS, and I can't seem to find any setttings that would prevent the apostrophy from displaying
-
I saw it in another post as well.

I have seen it in some posts but not all. I think it's a formatting error from cut and paste from another source. Perhaps a cross problem between HTML and plain text?
testing ' end test.

I think it is done via 'text-mapping' ... an automated way of typing...whenever the person types in " ' " it results in the string he programmed

Try going to browser view, encoding, and select unicode-8. The problem is those people are posting using another text formatting code and although it looks fine on their browser, it doesn't work with standard MSIE settings for automatic encoding selection.

I've seen this done elsewhere.
