What for? There are a lot more of AH-players than there has ever been AW-pilots (I'm not actually sure of this?). While my pic has been distributed around, I'm not sure I want to see all my opponents (or even friends) portrayed...

Unfortunately, I've only talked to her a couple of times in the last couple of years. She used to be quite active in the Combat Mission community as well.

You can find my photo under the name +Dead there BTW. Someone's gotta play the one handsome guy among the sea of geek.

I've always questioned the Dose pic though. I think he wore a rug. I mean, I heard him on vox. He always sounded like he was on the edge of pulling all his hair out. :) Maybe that was just the way he got later.

Sure, why not... But how soon do you think that the pics would not be getting "out of hand" or being pics not of the real person... But yes, be kind and send your pictures to "riku.vaskuu at sci.fi" and I'll see what I can make of them. If you'd preferably resize them to something sensible (how's 256x256 and the name being your AH-handle or the BB-handle? -- Panzzer.jpg, 256x256 pixels, 32bit jpeg). I was relatively a newby Air Warrior player, started in 1997. There were routinely well more than 1000 players online in the AOL arenas then.

When I started playing AH during the beta in 1999 player numbers were so low, sometimes I would log in and find I was the only player online. It happened more than a few times as well. Of course my time zone is not exactly peak time, but to me back then 15-20 players was a crowd.

It seems strange that more of the AW crowd weren’t trying out AH back in those days; it was a free beta. I came straight over from Imol (space sim) to AH and had never even heard of AW. Warbirds had a strong profile in AH for obvious reasons, but not AW. That sure changed with the AW influx a few years ago, which incidentally, went along way to swamping my creaky dial-up < intense profanity right about here>... but then adsl was recently invented in my neck of the woods.

the photo was taken by me with the camera at arm's length in my backyard, I believe in november or december of 2003. a nekkid photo of a frenchman smoking a t u rd would be precious, but from the waist up only otherwise it may be comical or worse yet frieghtening. :D
