Imagine it......take off....fly over water.....dogfight.....repeat .
Where's the hills? Mountains? Canyons?
Blimey, I do wish HTC would let us do the maps......I mean just look at the work that went into the Med terrain. And it's shreckin great. That map shown in the pic on the new news looks like it's been put together in 15 mins by a 12 year old.
It doesnt have to be a symetrical map. I'd kinda like each side to have it's own clear *country*. 1 side has islands, 1 side has a large land mass, the 3rd side has kinda a mix.......each map reset would be a breath of fresh air.

hmmm maybe if ya made a map and sent to HTC to approve we could have user maps in the MA

That map has not been ID'd as the one we're getting. But say it is? It would appear to me it has everything we have now. Just not an endless land mass. I see terrain features on the three large land masses aplenty.

Just replace the blue with green, and it's much the same as the maps we're using now. This time with boats. The land areas *do* seem to have hills (check out the boat picture 2 under the clipboard map). There are at least 2 bases per island ensuring the good 'ol tank battles, and the bases are predominately shoreline (vulnerable from air, land and sea).
Looks good to me.... but I guess we'll just have to see.

Vaguely reminds of me of AW big pac, which IMO was a great map from a gameplay basis. Sometimes all the water with small land masses can be a drag agreed. PAC can bring with it a HUGE map which I think is, what is required to help counter the gangbang whines in the MA. A big difference I found with AW compared to AH was that it was often populated by many small fights, not just the big huge FUR we now see in the beta. It was possible to up, and find a fight with a manageable amount of adversaries at just about anytime. The biggest prob with the beta map IMO is that it channels and concentrates the players in small areas, possibly causing warp issues (dunno) and whining. This map we have been given a glimpse of whether real or not, IMO will represent a big change in player concentrations and possibly permit the lone wolves to flourish again (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) Larger front lines spread the force and gives the pilots more options, which is all we really want, more choice..

I doubt if the ignorance is intentional. After all, they are attempting to get a new version that is the biggest yet out the door.

Im with Skurj on this one.. AW's PAC map was fun. And it looks like we could have anouther fighter town in there to. So all of you guys that like to Furball can do so. While others can fight the real war on the other side of the map.
Ether way i think with this 1.05, It is going to bring the fun back for me. After being gone for two months and the only thing to realy fly is CFS2 and there cheesy flight modles it has been a drag to say the least. Came back to H2H just to mess around and i like the flight modles a hole lot more then i used to. TO much CFS2 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) So i will see you guys in my Torpedo bomber killin some ships in 1.05, Pry to god i have escort from The Losy German planes and Japs.
