Is there anything you can do about a rude, lying, snob of a ******** who thinks that a minor should be held responsible because of his lack of managing skills?

My brother took a phone call from someone he didn't know and told him my mom was busy when she wasn't at home, he expects my brother to tell him where my mom is at etc..

BAH! I'm pissed I can't write out everything this is and what all has happend so I've deleted and re-deleted things.

Hawk is there anyone who works for a local TV or radio show that is known to help the 'everyday consumer' with problems like this? If there is you could try contacting them and asking for their help.

If nothing else you will expose this guy as an a-hole.

OTOH as you grow older you realize that **** happens. Sometimes it is more prudent to just move on and not let your anger get the better of you. If you do pursue this, you just prolong the anger that you now feel.

I sure wouldn't expect your mom to work for these people now however.

Are employers suppose to know about your credit?

I'm just curious, my mom and her friends were wondering this aswell..


Whats a credit check have to do with a high profile job?


Other then knowing your in debt.

I don't know if a credit check will tell them how much debt an individual has...I thought a credit check was to determine if a person is a 'risk' (eg: for a loan, or to rent an apartment etc.)

How does it help an employer then with a high profile job?

Maybe they are like the military and use your Credit as an example of the type of person you are..like wether or not you maintain your commitments and such...hell Bad credit in the Navy can cost you your security clearance.

High debt and/or defaulted loans will raise a flag in almost any security clearance process.  Of course, going from not much money to a ton of money between recurring clearance checks can also raise a flag, but hey I have an excuse for that :)

In addition for security clearances, credit rating is also used for bonding, insurance, and licensing.  If the job really is "high profile", then the company wants someone who is reliable, honest, hard-working, and capable of managing debt.  Pulling a credit check for a professional job is business as usual.

If you are in debt then you are more likly to give in to bribery or corporate espionage.

They should have checked me but they are not allowed to here :t

Seriously...

When I apply for an apartment lease...credit check.
Job involves money...credit check.
Flying job...Credit Check/Background Check/DMV Check/Here a Check/There a check/Everywhere a Check-Check.  At least I'm not old enough to be required for a colon-check :O
I actually have a copy of my credit report and DMV in my little job folder next to copies of everything else.  Resume's, Copies of pilot certificates, medical, drivers license, passport, FCC ticket etc etc...

Credit check's no big deal and nothing to ruffle your feathers over.  Good luck to mum with the "high profile" job.  I hope it's high paying too.
