Title: Please new film viewer
Post by: Morpheus on February 28, 2006, 02:06:08 PM
Please, do something to make this movie maker friendly... Free up the view system... it's so restricted right now. People making films for you is free advertisement. The eaiser a film viewer is to work with, the better the films, the more people watching them who haven't played AH will want to get in and try it out.

I watch my site, and its amazing where I can find links to my films through HTTP referers. Russia, japan, you name it.

Just sayin..

Yer, i agree. I hate the way you resume after pausing it, and it has to replay all the messages in the txt buffer, and vox up till that point.
Also some smoothing code would be nice too - as movements and view changing is kinda a bit jerky.

I would like to see the film viewer play without having to have AH installed...eg send a film to a friend who doesn't play AH(yet) but can watch the action.

Yeah, HTC would benefit massively from a filmviewer with more features.  I often look at IL2 video's in awe of their quality, they have made me buy the game, made me start playing it.

Aces High videos are good (all credit to the makers they do a fantastic job) but they do not give me same feeling.

Requiem.  The best sim video i have ever seen. (http://www.nr.no/~pab/IL2%20movies/REQUIEM_705k.wmv)

I love the bit where the FW190 crash lands, smashes wingtip off, you see the other wing *grab* the air and flip it over and around the camera.

Noticed after fri night squad ops that torpedo's don't show in the film after they are dropped.

Would love to see this added to the rest of the good ideas posted above.

Exactly furball... And the AH films very easily could exceede the feelings you get from watching IL2 films with a little bit of work.

Add in several more options, fix some of the bugs, one of which Ghost mentioned with the torpedoes not showing up and we would have a nice platform in which to work off of.

A few options I would like to see added are, an actuall "fly by" mode... In which when selected the the view extends out, and the plane flys' by as the film viewer follows the plane across the sky. Yes I know this can already be done with F5 switch to F4 (Chase view) but that's not very user friendly. There are several others I will touch on later tonight when I get home.
Title: Record Track IR view movements
Post by: hacksaw1 on March 05, 2006, 02:45:42 PM
Well as long as this thread is started, I was going to post a suggestion that flight recordings be made with all the view movements from the TrackIR recorded in the AH film. That would spice up films a lot.

Best Regards,
