Quick question for you XP users, In win 2k I could disable programs from loading at start up with a program found by clicking on start / run/ and typing msconfig (or something like that).
The question is: how can I kill unneeded (at the time ) programs from starting when windoze starts in XP, or even better can I set up a custom start up for gameing with out other stuff starting and running in the background?
Thanks,

MSCONFIG is included in winXP , i actually thought it was disabled in win2k ,guess you learn something new everyday. You can setup hardware proflies in xp that will accomplish what you are trying to do . As in win2k you can disable services also , this is a biggie in xp because it loads a ton of stuff at startup .

To kill stuff at a certain time would prolly be ctl/alt/del and find the process that you want to stop and end it .
