Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east,
Little jackie paper loved that rascal puff,
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east,

Together they would travel on a CV with Nuclear sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on puff’s gigantic tail,
Noble kings and princes would bow whene’er they came,
Insurgents would hide in caves when puff roared out his name. oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east.

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys.
One grey night it happened, jackie paper came no more
And puff that mighty dragon, unleashed his fearless roar.

His head was bent in sorrow, Howlitzers fell like rain,
Puff no longer went to play along the Iraqi lane.
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave,
So puff that mighty dragon blew up the insurgent cave. oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Middle east.

Puff (Spooky) Toad.
Thought the US Gunships might do it for most.

Toad, a tip:

If the subject is puff, then there are a limited number of things it can be about.

Looking at the URL, the last word is 'gunships' which eliminates the rest and leaves you with "Puff the magic dragon" the flying weapons platform.

Here's a tip for everyone:

Post more than just a link.

Say what it's about, offer an opinion, do something besides just slapping stuff up.

Just throwing out a link with nothing else is pretty much the basics of building a troll.

You don't want to be considered just another troller, do yas?

;)

Toad - all you needed to have done was look at the thread starter to realise it would be a no-brainer. :rofl

Sorry jack - just kidding. ;)

Not to break anyones rice bowl ... but only Remington Warriors, REMF's (Rear Echelon Mother F******), and Hollywood called 'em Puff.

In the field we called them Sparky, (Hangs pic) and Spooky (the article), gunship was a huey, packing heavy, .... but this was 40 years ago ... the lexicon may have changed by now.

Hehe. My brother says he appreciates the REMF comment. Puff is the right term Wolfhounds/Nam. You gotta sort of go with him when you are talking to him as the two pieces of shrapnel imbedded under one eye tends to lend some credibility.

I never heard sparky referred to as puff during my time in the south east Asia wargames, most likely later they did pick up the term and use it.

A big < S > to your brother, and the Wolfhounds.
