Title: Aces High Get Together
Post by: shegotya on March 06, 2006, 08:42:13 PM: Just a quick note with more detailed planning to come. June 30th. through July 9th. is a busy entertainment event week in Chicago, Illinois (40 minutes from my house). I am looking see how many Aces High Members would be interested in visiting during that time. If an option or for more information email me lilpeapod817@aol.com

don't forget, tatertot is in indy, and has offered to come up that way before too ;)

We still have O'hare, Midway and Gary ... hubby was pretty ticked about them taking it away too. If you have time to be out this way during those dates email me and I send you more info. as soon as I can.

I go into MDW and GYY on occasion. I never had the chance to go into Meigs though $#%@#^

Here's some shots from my buddy who's a captain on a Citation X now from "back in the day." I was droning on about how I'd never get to do the river visual approach into DCA and land at Meigs. Tried to brighten my day.

besides me and JB42 (my CO at the time) only 2 others showed up out of like 25 people who i emailed within 2 hours drive... Devi33rd and another guy i can not for the life of me remember his name. dmdmac was supposed to come but wife kept him away at the last minute.

none of these except 42 play activilly anymore, myself included. Devi is near lake geneva and a really cool guy. i got his phone number, i'll give him a jingle and let him know about this.

just off the top of my head though for the chi-town... MGD, a couple of BK's 2 WM's, and a some others. try announcing on CH200 and just write down the names of who says they are from the area... then goto PM and get some email details. thats how i got all the info.

as for me, i dont know. i might be able to drive down for a saturday or something, but money is really tight, and not sure how it will be then.

When i woke up and saw big X's on the news when the mayor closed Meigs field. I was so pissed. That is such a great airport, and not it is a gay park.:furious

I saw so many cool planes there. Including a B17 and B24. Believe it or not they landed there.

I had my notebook and we showed a bunch of dudes at the bar some porn, even took requests, one guy wanted "freckled boobs"

Besides getting drunk as feces, we almost got in a fight as a result of talking mess to the reprobates at the bar.

I'm up for another AH night at the "Red Rooster" here in North Hollywood.

Cool ... pass it on to him for me or anyone from Aces. I am hoping to get a good turn out but, I want Chicago to be the focus for fun with all the events going on that week. I am doing the open house thing that week so anyone can stop in for short visit or stay and catch Chicago events during there visit. All depends on who can get away and for how long.

I am in East Chicago, Indiana. 40 minutes from downtown Chicago. 5 minutes from Illinois border close to Lansing on the Illinois side close to Hammond on the Indiana side.

Then have a good cry, go have sushi at one of the many fine establishments on broadway. Hiya Morph ... I personally am not supplying "entertainment" lol but, I put a link in the post to events in Chicago ... also a more detailed email will be posted soon with who is playing that week at the taste of Chicago as far as bands go and when and where the Cubs or Sox are playing etc. in the process of enjoying Chicago which is 40 minutes from me I wanted to have a sort of open house for AH members. Hopefully the turn out will be great. If interested email me and I'll put ya' on the list for emails to come.
