8 TIMES I HAVE BEEN COLLIDED WITH ..THEY ALL GOT THE KILL..I BLOW A PLANE TO PIECES..A PIECE HITS ME THEY GET THE KILL...WHATS UP WIT DAT!!!???????? FIX THIS STUPID THING.. FIX IT!!!!! IT AINT RIGHT IT AINT FAIR AND I AINT TAKING IT MUCH LONGER. EVERY ONE HATES THE COLLISION MODEL..NOBODY CARES WHAT YOUR REASON IS.....FIX IT. COMPUTER SMART ENUFF TO KNOW WHO COLLIDED WITH YOU THE DANG THING SHOULD BE SMART ENUFF TO SHOOT THE OTHER PLANE DOWN. FIX IT!!! I AM SICK TO DEATH OF GETTING BEAT BY A PLANE I SHOT DOWN..DOES THIS SEEM RIGHT...NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIX IT!

In real life collisions you die, so will you in aces high. What's the big deal?
Whenever I collide with someone I don't cry HTC to make them so that the collision kills the OTHER guy not me who collided in the first place. I simply try to avoid collisions in the future.

dude that answers is a little too easy...lets see you blow a plane to bits watch it flame then get hit by as piece and they get the kill..that aint right. or some no talent bum who has to fly right thru your plane HO in a spit and get the kill..not fair not right

I agree.......the one who does the colliding should be the one that dies..........and the damage from debris collisions should be reduced greatly.

The problem is the determination of who did the colliding on BOTH front ends.
If it says THEY collide with YOU they ARE supposed to take damage. HOWEVER, several times I've seen "So-and-so has collided with you" (most recently my last sortie tonight, a P-51 pork/ho dweeb) but while my engine dies or I lose a wing or some other important bit, he flies merrily on his way.
I think it's been determined there's a lag issue involved. It says he collided with you on your FE, but HIS FE doesn't register it.
The BEST solution would be to just have both take damage. No complaining about the ram dweebs getting off scott free that way.
Although personally I'd prefer to see determination of who gets the kill fixed LONG before rams (***Steaming over the effectively intact, NOT-smoking, NO missing pieces Mosquito he shot the holy hell out of and lit on fire, but STILL only got an assist for***).

I would love for HT actually going ahead a change this thing, then hear the whining when people realize what they asked for.

I recently moved and my PC is now on a temporary wireless connection. Before I moved I Rarely if Ever would collide. Now on the wireless it is almost an hourly event. I am forever getting this message. About 70% of the time it does not result in damage to my plane.
Im not sure what the difference is, coincidence? Im not sure but I will agree that most are not happy with the collision model. HT has been pretty much solid on his stance that its as good as it can be and it isnt going to change.
I for one would be much more angry with the model if I started dying and my FE never saw a collison. And really this is what your asking for becasue if there is a collision both planes should be falling out of the sky, doesnt matter who caused the crash.

Hey! This ones easy! Do you drive your car into oncoming traffic or purposely take lead on a vehicle crossing an intersection? I hope not..........if so please lemme know where you live so that I can avoid the neighborhoods in which you drive! :aok

The problem is that the one who does the colliding usually flies away undamaged because of his better net connction.........lets make it fair for all. Kill whoever does the colliding on any front end. People will make sure they miss by a wider margin that way.

You guys are colliding a lot? Why not fly father away? I collided around 3-4 times this month so far and they were times I knew that it would happen.
Your best bet it to fly like you don't want to collide.

How so?
It's been explained (more than once) how it works. If I see the collision on my end, I get the message "You have collided"...the other person gets the message "Someone collided with you"
So, if I see the collision and get the "You have collided" message, how does my "better" connection prevent me from taking damage? At this point the system knows I collided (it knows to display the message), so why would it stop stop short of inflicting damage because of a me having a "better" connection?

If you collide with another aircraft...its on your FE.
Many variables play into this and it has been explained many times; if you see it...you did it.

I give it an 7 out of 10, just for the caps... you can see the rage in him in that whine lolz.

Whenever I get a message that 'someone collided with me' I always die and he usually flys away with little or no damage even though it looks like I avoided him on my front end and I do not get a message that says 'I collided with xxx'. I live in Asia and have more lag and higher ping times than most of you, usually between 350 and 600.

LOL I love it, it takes two to HO right???? WRONG it takes one spit or cannon mounted dweeb who constantly goes for the face shot and with the warps in the MA there is GOOD chance if you try and avoid you will die anyway.
My solution is easy, anytime someone TURNS into me for a face shot he gets it. I couldn't care less about score and therefore I don't care if I die.
Many so called "Good" pilots go for the HO aspect hoping the other guy will try to avoid and thereby give them the manuver "edge".
Now parts damage killing is a nice feature and if all things are equal and you don't have to be D100 or so to get the kill then fine, but right now with the condition of the server and net you get rubber bullets unless you are close enough to also get hit with parts and risk damaging your own plane.
In the old AW game I think collisions were turned off and if I remember right it was some kind of software switch, I guess if HT wanted he could turn it off here but not sure he will EVER do that.

I've complained about collisions in the past.
Lately though I have no complaints as for the last several weeks every collision cept one I've had has been 100% (ok 99%) spot on and has affected both planes

Blah..just get rid of collision. Think how much more relaxing it would be.
On a serious note..I got collided with 5-6 times lastnight. Each time it said they hit me. Each time they died, but I took damage. Each time, it looked as though we both hit...not just one of us.
How about we keep the collision on..but reduce hit chance on a headon, to make it so there is less nose to nose.
I dont know. But I do know this...I usually dont collide unless I press for the headon as well. Once in a great while, a guy will see me avoiding the headon and go out of his way to ram me. Those are the ones I hate.
