This option is found on clipboard ---->Preferences\ View options....check or uncheck
this isn't listed in the help file....
What is it?
-
maybe you get to move your mother inlaws out?:huh

I believe that's for activating the TrackIR support that's now native to AH2. I have the TrackIR 4 (love it, BTW), but I haven't looked at that setting since I installed mine, so I could be a bit off.
However, I'm pretty sure that's the purpose. TrackIR rocks, once you've adapted to it. Never will have better SA. Get the family and friends to pool in for Christmas!

i need trackir like i need air.:furious

Track IR has two different settings.. you need to find out which one seems more "natural" to you. I dont use the relative motion selection, but to some it seems the "right" way for TIR To work for them.
Just a personal preference thing.

I don't enable this option either. Seems more natural with default settings from the trackir program.
-
ok....but what is trackIR?
-
Ridley,
TrackIR is a device and software that enables you to look left, right, up, down, go side to side, forward back with your head. This changes your views respectively so in essence you are in the cockpit.

I fly with it and LOVE IT! My SA is extremely enhanced with it.

wow....that looks really cool
Not having that device...I guess I can leave it unchecked then....right?

Can you swear by this thing TG? I want to get it but I use my views so much I am not sure I would need it. I move around so much anyways I think it would screw me all up.

skech....I love the thing.....i wouldnt fly without it and wont!
It takes a week or two to get used to it but once you have then look out....i DONT lose sight of a bad guy. I will see if I can FRAPS a movie in AH and send it to you.

Dittos Sketch,
Love it, cant imagine flying with out it... but it IS an adjustment, expect to "relearn" how to fly.
I can help with your setup. I have Ch gear and TIR3 w/vector

Thanks TG & Balsy...
I usually only get to fly on the weekends and that is even limited to Friday & Saturday nights, so by the time I get back to Friday night I am relearning to fly anyways!! :rofl My biggest thing is the views of using the up-view with side, backwards, high-6, over the should boulder holder views... I get all lost half the time when I get turning hard and rolling with a nme and alot of times I get ripped because I lose sight of him.
When I went from a old Sidewinder 2 PP, to a X45 to my X52... that was a major transition. I might look around and try finding one, maybe I will sneak it in the mail so the wifey doesn't see it but will be hard when I get the -> look from her.... right before she beats me with the garden hose! :O
If you can just do a few quick clips TG of it being used (Ihave seen Octavias film with it) but would like to see it a bit clearer. I will talk to you two guys later... :aok

Skech,
I am going to attempt a use of it today (Fraps that is) the film viewer for some reason does not show where my head goes.
As far as high 6 positions and overhead views on cons it is INVALUABLE! I can let you know how I have it set....
Basically I just run the default settings. I have the F9 key mapped to turn trackIR off. This I use when fighting in GV's because my taste is for just pointing and looking.
I also have a button mapped to the throttle to recenter the TrackIR. This I use alot. if I move my hat or seat position greatly this helps a great deal.

Mike

If you succeed TG, could you please post how you did it? I've tried various ways to capture Track IR views, including FRAPS (which didn't work) and they only come out jerky and low res.
But I agree that T-IR adds a MAJOR improvement to visual aspects of gameplay and immersion. I got used to it in about a week. As much as I enjoyed AH with the hat views, I enjoy it ever so much more with T-IR.
Best Regards.

The latest commercial from Waffle has track IR views in it. It's on the home page in the upper left side.

Hack.....
Will do...I know my squaddie ALF posted a TrackIR video from AH but I cannot find it.
Ill see how things go!
