Ooooooooops ! :)

Isn't that going to install spy software on my drive if I download the satellite software?

You can get movies and porn from it too.

It will try, just don't let it :)
J/K nothing like that so far, but whenever you're "online" (IE: the satelite is active) your bandwith "might" suffer.
I haven't seen GATOR or any other cr*p show up yet...
This is actually much cooler / faster than Napster, and a bit more "discrete at work" Heh Nate ? :D

i find it really difficult to get a decent connection long enough to download anything from those sites. it alwyas says"busy - queueable" and then it sits there for ever. i found napster much easier to work with. still at least there is something.well, that and the store of course :)

Audiognome works wonders as well... :)
I prefer it over WinMX. If I want err... non-musical files, I got imesh :D
Daniel, aka Cyrano

You must right-click on the file and select "enter remote queue", other programs do this automatically. There is window that pop-up the first time you go to "transfers" tag, and warns to you about this, but i guess no one looks at this pop-ups nowadays (sadly for the success of this great program)
winmx vs imesh: the other day i looked for "the crunge", led zeppelin song. winmx: four matches, all of them different. imesh: 0 matches. Winmx is more difficult to learn, but more useful, i think.

that was a pretty nasty remark.
in fact i did read the pop up as you have to ok it before it lets you go on and i do enter remote queue!
that's my complaint - enter remote queue means almost nothing - the selections sit queued for hours (like i said) and finally the other end just signs off or something. another trick i have is auto-retry which is sometimes successful. if i pick 30 songs maybe 8 actually work queue or not. nd that is choosing songs which are in green not counting the yellows which i dont even try anymore.
i think the problem is that not enough people are using it so 50 people queue up for the same stuff. only the crap seems readily accesible.
