The museum might be a good place to meet, since it's close to Portland. For those of you that haven't been there, it's pretty cool. I'd be glad to show you around.

Actually this is just a lunch get together.. Nothing as advanced as driving to McMinnville:)
But you certainly could try to entice people down there for a day ........
