I just watched the Dukes of Hazzard movie.  As moronic as it was, I really had a few good laughs....like when they brought the General Lee to campus, etc

"and every time he sees somone driving a Taho or a truck on the same hour and a half commute he laughs at them as well."

Until he gets hit by one, then he's no longer laughing because he's dead while the other guy walks away and the responders have to photograph and clean up another mashed up bloody mess.   People who drive subcompats outside slow city environments don't sufficiently value their own safety.  I told my Aunt for ten years that she had to drive something bigger than an Escort...sure enough someone in an SUV rammed her a couple months ago and now she's going to be confined to a nursing home for the rest of her life.

I think the ~1984 Toyota as 'General Lee' someone posted here some months ago was even worse than the Metro, though.

Do you understand your problem ?

Let me make it easier: Why don't you folks buy real trucks like Peterbilts and Kenworths; isn't bigger safer ?

I'm not going to make assumptions as to what you're hinting at.  Just come out and say it.  I don't think I have a problem.   If a Geo hits my Buick, I gaurantee I won't by the guy with the problem.

Staga can you explain briefly what kind of relationship finland had with ussr during the cold war because it sure looks like you guys had lotys of soviet toys like t55s, mig 21s and this little bugger.

Findland's relationship with the USSR was one of "Let's not irritate the big guy so we don't get squashed".  Finland deserves respect for surviving as an independent state in such a hostile environment.   They also deserve respect for actually paying back the debts they owed the US.

Just to be clear my post wasnt meant to inflame, i was just curious about what course finland negotiated being stuck  between the two cold war powers.

Well........I haven`t had it for a while now, but as a matter of fact, my wife enjoyed driving it very much. A 5` tall, 100 lb woman driving a Pete caused quite a stir.
You don`t allow women to drive in your eutopia?
Giving them the vote was our mistake. :)
