Is it possible to configure your mouse wheel to use it as zoom in/out in view mode?
-
Should be, I use scroll wheel for throttle.
-
If you fly with a stick it's hard enough to go from joystick to keyboard and back, imagine reaching around your stick to scroll the mouse buttons. It would be inefficient.
-
I have the joystick in my right hand....mouse in my left..
works pretty good for me/.
Can't figure out how to map the wheel though
-
Setup>Controls>Select Joystick
Select the input you want the mouse to be on the left. In the center, select Mouse. On the right, select Wheel or Scroll Wheel or whatever it is.
-
Ozz622, u hit it on the nut! werks fer me 2...

"Click" the mouse wheel and try the other direction.

The scroll wheel is seen as an axis, just like the ones you use on the joystick itself and throttle. You can only map one command to it.
-
can't you make the mouse a second joystick?
I could get the throttle to be mouse based.
but when I did that...the controls on the joystick pooched.
Mmmmmm.....

You can assign anything to anything. But that's just it; you have to assign everything. You also have to calibrate when you're finished. Note that you can't calibrate a mouse wheel; it should zero when clicked, IIRC.

I don' t think I'm going to figure out how to get it to work...Oh, well.
I'll keep looking, if anything else I'll learn more about the program, right?
Besides....in a couple of months, I'll be upgraded to an X52.
(Birthday, y'know.....)
